Ok I don't want anyone to faint here! I am just trying to get in my head that's all. I agree , I think we should preserve the OAR. It is just a bit hard to explain to the lay people out there, that's all. Their response " You just spent $4,000 on this TV and you still get black bars!" YOU MORON...

Ok, I am trying to get my mind around this whole 16x9 format. I have a 16x9 HDTV...I buy widescreen movies...I still get the black bars! I know there are different aspect ratios, 1:85, 2:35:1 etc. But why didn't the studios make them all fit my widescreen TV! I can handle the black bars, but...

I don't own the speakers you are about to buy...but I do own the BP6 fronts...all I can say is if you go with anything from Def-Tech you will be happy...very happy. I jhave Def-Tech all around..AWESOME sound! Check out the Theater..Firmie Theater Have a great time! Scott F

I also own this unit and have had no issues. I bought it several years back for around $800, sounds like I got ripped:frowning: , but from what it soundls like that is still 1/2 off retail ;) . You won't go wrong purchasing this amp! Scott F PS I am looking at upgrading to 6.1 system...

Don, Tyanks for the info. I will be sure to check out the sites you gave me. I think the Pioneers are a bit out of my range. I am actually looking for the best HDTV ready set. It's come down to the Toshiba 57HX81 and the Mitsubishi WS55819. I think I can't go wrong with either.... Scott

I am in the market for a HDTV. I am looking at Mitsubishi ,Sony or Pioneer. 55-65 inch range. Are there any sites out there that can breakdown the pluses and minuses for me? Thanks for any help. Scott F :)
