I almost purchase this receiver and glad that I didn't because I don't want just pass through HDMI. I want to go with less cable as much as possible. I always thought that to get 7.1 sound you have to connect it via HDMI cable only. Is the 7.1 sound on this a virtual only not real 7.1?
I've been thinking of getting this receiver due to 4 HDMI input. My question is. Does HDMI on this unit carries both audio and video? Not a pass through like TXSR506B model. OK this might sound like a stupid question but please bear with newbie here. if I connect my PS3, HD-DVR, WD media...
Unfortuanately they're no indicator on the clock. It sync with no problem during spring but it's always the fall that it sync a week later. If my memory serve me well I believe this is the second time that it didnd't sync.
Does anybody have any problem with this clock not updating the time on time. Ever since they move daylight saving time an hour ahead one week. My clock hasn't been updating on time. It was supposed to turn back the time back an hour last week but it didn't do it. I had to manually adjusted it...
Yeah, it has caller ID but it's kind of annoying that they call 4 to 5 times a day bright early morning. It's just the thought that you have to go to the phone and look it up who's calling. Just imagine yourself doing that 4 to 5 times a day. EVERY DAY Monday thru Sunday ,that can get to you...
I have registered my parents phone number with Do not call list but still keep getting this phone call from this company DAIMLER CHRYSLE1-913-851-6108 and when you call you get another answering machine that tells you that it's the wrong number and they would give you another number to call...
I was thinking of getting one myself. It got great review from several sites that reviewed it. It's HD ready with just a firmware upgrade. I have PS3 and I read that I might be able to stream it from there sometimes in the future, So I think I should wait. If anybody knows when it's coming to...
I couldn't agree more on that. Why make a trip to the video store and when you get home and start watching TV instead. Blockbuster need to close all their stores and concentrate on online instead. That's where the future is heading right now. Instead of having 6 or 7 stores in one state. Just...
I think a lot of poeple got turned off by the way the movie was filmed. My friend didn't want to go see it because of that but I made him go anyway. I didn't think it was gonna be like that the whole movie. I was pissed too. The movie could have made tons of money if it was done the normal way...
My co-worker and I had a discussion about the best way To get good mileage out of a car. Same car model, same spec. He said you get better mileage driving 60 MPH Than 80 MPH (to the same destination) I said it should be the same But he said you used up more gas going 80 MPH And I said...
I bought mine at Bjs for $279.00 Yes, load time is slow but picture is breathtaking, even DVD looks really nice too. I still have 5.1 receiver. So as long as it can decode that I'm all set for now. Within a year or two the price will be dirt cheap just like DVD players, then I'll can get...
I came across an article last night about Satellite broadcasting in 1080P. The company is called Xstream HD With 7.1 lossless audio. The company will exhibit it's product during CES in Jan This is the info from their sites. http://www.xstreamhd.com/press.html I hope they don't ended up...
A lot of LCD and Plasma TV on the market nowaday are capable of handling 1080P and in the next couple years I bet all of new TV will be able to handle 1080P. Any news on any of the major network converting to 1080P. Fox and ABC already chose 720P as their preferred format. Are they thinking of...
Paris, Lindsay and Britney decided to go to the football game to see why all the guys are so into it. They had great seats right behind one of the teams bench After the game, one of the teams members asked if they liked the game. "Oh, I really liked it," Lindsay replies, "especially the...
I wish I knew about the deal. I just picked up PS3 from target for $499 and I ask for the free movie by mail coupon to send it in the lady said. Oh we don't offer any coupon at target. I said it's from Sony not Target that offer that deal. She said sorry we don't have it. I had to cut out the...
Because that's what it said so in the manual. It supports 720p and 1080i 1080p was new at that time and very expensive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1080p may be this will help you understand the difference between those numbers.
I just happened to stop by at Bj's again last night to pick up some stuff. I walked by the Bluray section and they're all sold out. I wonder if they let poeple take a rain check. So far I love the picture quality. It looks much better than the picture on my HD-DVR shows that I tape every night...
I wasn't planning on getting one yet. I was waiting for the price to come down to about $199.00 or below but when I saw it today I just couldn't resist. The price is $379.00 with $100 instant rebate taken off at cash register. It's $80 more than I my expected price. Glad I didn't buy it last...
You're right. I went into my account and have bluray set as my first choice. Now it shows up as bluray. Which is strange because other movie I can select it right from the queue which format I prefer. Thanks
I enable the bluray feature and I have rented bluray disc from them before. When you put some of the bluray movie in your queue and and it only give you one option. Normally it will give you two if you want it in bluray or DVD. Like Prison breaks season 1 it said that it's available in blurray...
Does anybody have problem disc not showing up as bluray when you put them in your queue. I went to bluray section and added Prison breaks and it shows up as DVD but the page said it's available in both format DVD and Bluray. This happen to several movies I notice.
Does HD-DVD need more than two layers for movies? Two layers should be more than sufficient for movie and special features. I think the space is more for the PC side where it can hold more data. Double layers for the DVD side never really taken the world by storm either. I have nothing but bad...
I just walked into BJ wholesales club in Manchester Connecticut today and they have bluray player by Sony for $347.00 last month I saw it listed for $447.00 I hope it drops more after Thanksgiving. I would love to get a standalone player for my room.
I have the same problem. My Sharp LCD only has one HDMI and it's being occupied by my HD-DVR. So, I ordered a 2 ports HDMI from monoprice.com it's only 18 dollars. It's good for now untill I get a new 1080P LCD with more than one HDMI port. To me I don't really see the big difference between...
