Richard, Damn-you stay on top of this stuff. I was there at 11:30 as they were putting them on the shelves (widescreen only, thank you). You must stand at the top top of the stairs waiting for the delivery!
Coming from a digital source, you would expect Pixar's movies to look stellar. The Incredibles keeps the tradition going in grand style. This DVD looks so amazing..outshining just about any other animation I have seen on DVD thus far. The colors are bright and bold(and all of the subtleties of...
Although I greatly enjoyed Hero, I would find it very difficult to recommend it as blind buy. It is just too subjective. I find it pretty hard to even compare it to CTHD, even though most would immediately draw comparisons.
This is a very nice DVD. I may not be as critical as some of you on this forum, but I think most of you will be very happy with this release. It is presented as 2.40:1 anamorphic with plenty of detail, solid blacks, and vibrant, saturated colors. The sound is amazing...Doc Ock is all about the...
Paul, I have the Widescreen SE, not Superbit. I will be watching it shortly...and will let you know how it looks and sounds immediately following. I have a 9' FireHawk screen, Sharp 10000 projector with a Denon DVD-5900 spinning my discs.
The end of side 1, Chapter 27, has Fiennes, Neeson, and another person (German Officer) having a discussion over tea. Side 2 begins with a cloudy sky (lots of stuff in the air in a park) and gives the setting as "Chujowa Gorka, April 1944".
Renting never worked well for me. I joined Netflix in their first year and kept the same four movies for that entire year. I hate knowing there is a time restraint in my movie watching. There are so many times where my wife is not up to watching a movie, or friends cancel on our plans at the...
What can I write that has not already been posted? This was a great time indeed. If this was truly the last Scooterpalooza in the Northeast, this was a great one to exit on. I sincerely hope there will be more though. I feel like we are establishing a family reunion of sorts everytime we go to...
Whew! I just got my power back tonight...one of the last places on the Island. We will be there--it was a bit iffy there with my wife stuck in Manhattan. We are ready to roll! I can't wait to see which movie it will be.
You can play any source in zone 2 that is plugged into the 325 (although if it is like the Denons, it has to go through an analog input). I think what Johnny is saying is that you can control the 2nd zone from that zone itself via remote control. This could be accomplished, I would imagine, by...
Are you guys familiar with Kikaida? I spent many a summer in Hawaii growing up and this is an integral part of my memories there. I am not too familiar with Ultraman, but I would guess they would share the same fan base. The first 20 episodes are available in Hawaii...I just picked up from there...
Well- I had the dubious pleasure of playing John Basedow in tennis when we were both in high school (we took lessons at the same tennis facility on the South shore of Long Island). Although he was two years younger than me, he was an unusually small sophomore. I am unsure if he advertises being...
I experienced an audio dropout during the quiddich (sp?) match for a few seconds. This was at a friend's reference home theater with no cable problems whatsoever. My copy at my house was no problem though.
I have a copy of it and it says it has a ton of extras. There is a sticker on it that says, "Contains 5 hours of bouns material including 27 minutes not shown in theaters". It appears that there are two commentary tracks, MTV's Making Of, Promo spots, 2 music videos and some other stuff.
I spoke to an exec at MGM while on vacation in December about this exact topic. She assured me that this particular studio was not interested in going the rental model ever again. They were making too much money in the DVD sales. I think the order was the opening weekend creates the most revenue...
