Too bad LG doesn't seem to care about this HDCP issue (no commercial DVD playback over DVI). It would be so convienient to have HD & DVD travel down the same pipe. If you've experienced this problem I urge you to complain to LG. http://www.lgservice.com/gcsc/b2c/hpi/main Until the...
It would pass HD, any format, via DVI. Home brew DVDs would upscale and output via DVI no problem. Commercial DVDs would not pass via DVI due to HDCP issues, and were limited to 480p via component. I agree it doesn't make sense, that's why I returned it to BB. I've talked...
It's kinda old news Ted. AVS has a thread on it, some like it some don't (I posted a question about it here (page 7) back in August). I bought one (LG 3510) about a month ago but returned it. Reception was good but it wouldn't upscale commercial discs. Plus the damn thing...
I've searched the forums and found no answer so I'll ask here. The BB web site has the LG LST-3510, an 1080i Up-Conversion DVD player with built in HD ATSC/QAM receiver. Anyone know anything about this product? I'm looking for a OTA HD receiver and the DVD end of it would be a bonus. tia, lash
vasia, Did you ever get this working? I'm looking for a method to get 5.1 out of my notebook when feeding my InFocus projector. Searched here and saw your post about the Audigy. Hey! Anybody got any ideas on this or a recomendation for a good notebook 5.1 sound solution? ~lash
Erik, I'm all for it. We can't all drop a wad for a complete setup from the get-go.
I started with some Bose AM-5s (Rubik's Cubes) and retired them to the back after purchasing some second hand Warfedales (used the RPTV for center).
Eventually I saved up the bucks for a Canadian vacation/...
In multi-channel audio it refers to the ability of each channel to reproduce it's own, distinct, audio.
Stereo sources have two "discrete" channels. DVD's brought us 5.1 "discrete" channels (the .1 is limited in range, but can still be independent of the other 3).
Channels created from...
It could even up with one difficult Airport (like one of the Guidos said "the great equalizer").
I'm really gonna miss Kevin and Drew. The only team with a sense of humor, but also some real heart.
I don't think if you dropped me in a cab in China I'd know where the sun rose or set.

I doubt any of the Survivor friendships will be lasting ones. I'd also be willing to bet Colby kicks himself in the ass everyday.
Lindsay may have been concerned with appearing to have no redeaming qualities, blowing all hope for future acting/advertising jobs. (he he he, now that's cynical!)
I think that as numbers dwindle and it's easier to focus on individuals, the survivors get more interesting. At least that's how I responded the last two times.
I agree Frank was totally lame!
It's just a shame he didn't get counseling years ago. I can't imagine he's happy with his looks now, and he was (is?) a very talented guy.
Looks like they put a blurring video filter over his face in most shots.
I agree he was probably covering his mouth to hide the lip-syncing, or else knew...
Getting a bit tired of the blatant misdirection of the editing. It would be funner to be able to guess the vote once in awhile.
It was so funny tonight when Lindsay asked the newcomers if they "liked to lay around alot"!

Forgive me for asking again but this is bugging me.
When you watched this last show (Nov. 1), did it begin with the usual Jeff recap "Two tribes in the heart of Africa... losing the quiz... Carl's torch was extinguished"?
Or did it start with music full, footage of every player with their name...
MatthewA,
You jogged my memory back to the great "Fernwood 2Night" and the time they had a Research Scientist on claiming "Liesure Suits cause cancer".
There was much debate until he produced a cage of Laboratory Rats all wearing (you guessed it) tiny Leisure Suits!
