Brian, I noticed that also. Some folks on IMDB seem to think that the original VHS contained a version that was about 2.5 minutes longer, so that's probably the one we'll be getting next. Hopefully the "NEW Introduction" will answer all our questions. :)
Roland, Do you know for certain that that they will be using the anaglyph method, or is this just a guess on your part? I would just as easily guess that they would include inexpensive polarized lens glasses, which produce a much more satisfying 3-D experience.
Okay, their reply was that it was delayed until this fall (an estimate). However, they plan on releasing multiple MacGillivray Freeman Films at that time. Case closed for now.

I believe that horns are the tweeters of choice due to their wide dispersion (as well as the theory of their brightness being an advantage when projecting sound through the screen).
