I always thought the HDDVD looked overly sharp - almost like a upconversion. The Bluray has more vibrant colors, a bit more pleasing to my eyes.
I'm watching on a 38 inch sony CRT, and the DNR is noticeable. Closeups offer more details, but it does look soft.
Too bad we cant get the...
I did a search and didnt see anything on this except the old thread mentioning Mel returning as Max, so I thought Id start this thread, as Im actually sort of excited about it. Seems Miller is filming 2 Mad Max films to be released close together with Tom Hardy taking over as Max. Hardy has...

Edit: ooops can someone edit the title please.
Watched both tonight and very pleased with both titles.
RFAD looks and sounds stellar.
I can see some complaining about TNW - maybe thinking it looks a bit soft, but to me, it has a very filmlike presentation. Looks beautiful. The BR is unrated, with 30 minutes put back into the film.
Like myself, I know there some scifi fans here always looking for a good movie in the genre, so I thought Id pass this along.
Hopefully Itll come around here and I can see it.

Harrys review is up at AICN. Now while there arent many spoilers for plot - being the geek he is, he goes into ALOT of the little things Marvel has put into the film and how theyre building up crossovers. One example is (not too bad, but relating to Capt America) The person who injects...

Alot of people dont like the kid idea. I recently talked to a friend I havent seen in years and when Superman Returns came up,he was almost hostile about it. He hated that the mythology was messed with(and like myself looks at the first film as something of a Holy Relic) Heres the thing - do...

Just letting those who may be unaware that Voivods new album Katorz is out. I had no idea that Denis DAmour died of colon cancer last year. Before he got sick he recorded enough Voivod material for 2 albums and the band completed the album without him. I only heard a couple tracks on...
I dont know if this type of thing is allowed here at HTF. If not I guess the admins will lock or delete the thread. I just wanted to pass this along as I cant believe this will actually be happening. "On Feb. 5th 2006, all cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies...
