Pete, we met briefly. I took a pic of you in the lobby and posted it here on HTF. Unfortunately, my primitive camera didnt get many good pics of the night worth keeping.
It was a great night that concluded a great sci fi weekend.
Too Many to name....
Star Wars: 1977 in NYC. Saw it Twice.
Empire Strikes Back: 1980 in Paramus.Went to ToysRUs for Star Wars toys afterwards.
Jaws: with my dad and uncle.
Halloween & The Fog in 1980 double feature NYC
Five Deadly Venoms: NYC..around 1980

I read Avengers comics during the 70s into the mid 80s. I never thought I'd see Scarlet Witch,Vision and Quicksilver in a film.
Just realized this film is only a few months away.
^ Dont agree with that at all.
For me the film flew by, and I think theres more here than people are giving it credit for.
I really liked it.
Im going to link to this review as it says everything much better than I ever could....

Thor is my favorite Marvel film...and I thought The Dark World was really lousy.Good chemistry with the cast, but other than that, I thought it was really just a half hearted mess.Except for the psych ward science lecture scene, the humor made me cringe. It was out of place and forced. Darcys...
Havent seen Thor yet. Will get there this week.
The first film just may still be my favorite Marvel film, so even though Im going in with pretty low expectations, Im hoping the sequel doesnt disappoint.
Marvel is about to unleash a movie with a talking Racoon who fires a laser gun in a live action comic book movie..... and DC, after years of failed tries.... cant figure out how to make Wonder Woman work on film.
What theyre doing with Batman and this film..just seems to sound worse and worse.
Always had a soft spot for this movie. It might not be a great film, but its atmospheric and creepy. Love it.
I remembe seeing a double feature of this and Halloween back in the early 80s.
Finally can get rid of my HDDVD.
I love the first 2 films and tolerate Jedi.
The prequels dont exists to me, and considering JJ Abrams involvement, I really have no interest in the newer films
However, give me the first 3 films unaltered from their original versions, and they can have my money.
Id love to have the non-SE...
Ill add a very positive review to counter the negative one I posted earlier.

As for being "ready to hate", Brandon, we've both been members of this foum a long time, and you should know my love for the genre.
I linked...
I kind of like this...
But IMHO they went overboard with the texture. Another overdesigned suit. Theres so much texture, it looks like armor, which is just wrong on Superman. I understand WHY its used by Kal-El, but wished they toned it down.
Had no idea Antje Traue was in this....
The image looks so drab and gloomy. Superman is about hope. He's not Batman.
All the stills Ive seen actually look better with the saturation upped. The middle is what they're using, yet to me the last pic looks best.
Kind of eh for me.
The film was a bit too serious and suffered from not having a Ash character to root for. I thought it might be Eric. He did have a couple lines that made me chuckle. But the premise is so absurd, the original worked so well because it didnt take itself so seriously. This one...
