Here's my Olive wishlist:
Phase IV
Brother Sun, Sister Moon
Danger: Diabolik
Frankenstein And The Monster From Hell
Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter
Targets
Medium Cool
Has Olive been able to release any of the Paramount titles licensed to Legend a few years ago?
Blu-Ray upgrades for Phase IV, ZPG and Money From Home (Jerry Lewis) would be most welcome.
I'd love to see a big batch of Warner Sci-fi on Blu-Ray for their 90th anniversary:
The Time Machine (1960)
Time After Time
Westworld
7 Faces of Dr. Lao
Valley of Gwangi
Demon Seed
Illustrated Man
Can anyone shed light on the image on the back of the box? It is of the fellas visiting her in jail... I don't think this scene is included in this transfer. Could it just be a promotional still?
They really have some nerve charging $20 for Where The Boys Are. They are simply taking the existing DVD files and plopping them on a DVD-R. No mastering. No encoding. No overhead whatsoever.
I've never been one to complain about Archive prices and I own MANY, but this seems really unfair.
Fir those of you having doubts about SAE... don't!
Those of us in the soundtrack collecting world have been using SAE for many years. They are extremely reliable and have excellent customer service. Don't hesitate.
New covers have been added for:
Captain Nemo & The Underwater City
Under The Rainbow
Man From Atlantis
City Beneath The Sea
Captain Sindbad
Terminal Man
They all look SO much better...
There were quite a few titles Paramount didn't include in that set: Sad Sack, The Rock-a-Bye Baby Geisha Boy, The Don't Give Up The Ship Visit To A Small Planet It's Only Money Who's Minding The Store? Boeing Boeing I always figured there would be a second set. Alas...
"Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs"
It is great that these are being made available, but wow... I don't think I want to own something with that title. Holy shit.
WAY back, Anchor Bay release 20 Hammer films on DVD: Quatermass And The Pit (non-anamorphic) Four-Sided Triangle The Abominable Snowman Of The Himalayas Shatter Quatermass 2 The Reptile The Lost Continent Viking Queen (non-anamorphic) Vengeance Of She Frankenstein Created...
I re-ordered Doc Savage, She, Planet Earth and Genesis II and received all of them with the new covers. They all look SOOOO much better. I really hope all of the early titles are converted to full poster art soon. The current cover for Captain Nemo and the Underwater City is as bland as can be.
This program gives me hope that I may soon own these 3 of the remaining 6 titles on my DVD wishlist (written in 1997):
Yor: The Hunter From The Future
The Hellstrom Chronicles
Warlords Of Atlantis
Ok, what gives?
It appears as though the cover art for Genesis II and Planet Earth has changed from the old-school huge blue border to the new full cover versions.
This is really annoying... are they going to be switching ALL previous covers to the newer (vastly superior) versions?
