I too think that the response from Brain Damage beggars belief - after all, we were told last year that the delays were "to make sure that everything was perfect", then we get a much-trumpeted press release from EMI proclaining the 2005 "final release date", now it's delayed again, with a new...

Well, we have yet another "final" release date (I'll wait for the laughter to die down)..... According to www.brain-damage.co.uk " .... we've today been given what we are told is the final, confirmed release date. As many of you know, the release date has been delayed time and time again -...

Manus: I totally agree with your two descriptions of Floyd & their management. As for authoring - no, I don't buy that (maybe a white lie from CDWow?). Blu-ray/HD-DVD, again I can't believe that - too much demand for this set against low initial demand/high cost for the new formats (and...

It seems that many retailers are inserting purely speculative dates at the moment, there is no official word from EMI/Pink Floyd Management as to the next release date.

Is the "Pulse" DVD still coming out this month?

But the 3rd of June which year? This is really annoying (yes, I'm holding back on what I really think) - just give us the dvd, warts and all. We don't care that it might not be 100% perfect, or the blue sky on the cover may not be exactly the right shade of blue, or the front right-hand...

I can certainly understand some of the delays caused by menus, mastering and so on. But like you, I'm astounded that EMI can issue a big press release Autumn 2005, proclaiming worldwide release w/c thh Dec 05, and then slip the date twice, and finally again with no apparent explanation. OK, we...

The Brain Damage site now have confirmation from EMI that the date has slipped AGAIN. .... there have been further, undisclosed delays which mean that this DVD has been put back again, and no date is currently available. It is possible that it might appear in March/April, but indeed, could...

Just to add to the debate, I've seen one forum report that states that EMI have pulled it from the release schedule - one member had ordered via CDWow and received this email: Hello, Thank you for placing your order with CD WOW! We are writing to you with regard to your order for Pink...

Well, this is getting ridiculous..... Brain Damage are now reporting ANOTHER DELAY :frowning: The worldwide release has now been put back until the new year, with the title now scheduled to hit the stores on/around 16th January 2006. This will vary by a few days depending on the country of...

An update to those release date everyone - the Brain Damage site is now saying that the US/Canadian release date has been pushed back to 20th Dec, whilst the UK and the rest of the world goes to the 12th December. I just hope that they stick with those dates :frowning:

Release date for Canada/US confirmed for 6th December. So, the UK and some European countries on the 5th, Canada/US on the 6th, and remaining regions on the 7th. Apparently (again from the Brain Damage site) it will be 4:3 format, as this was the ratio that it was originally shot in. A...

Oi, just wait your turn in the queue - I was there before you ;) Well, although I share your concern about the numerous false dawns for Pulse on dvd, the fact that EMI issues apress release is really encouraging (but I too will only believe it once the likes of play.com list it). And I would...

I gather that one of the reasons that Pulse has been delayed so long is that they wanted everything to be top-notch, from the remastered 5.1 sound, to the menus and through to the supplementary material.

Yes, way back in early summer it was stated that they were hoping for a Sept/Oct release, now it's possible that the date will slip once again. It just seems to be one delay after another, and with the number of official delays, I really do hope that the transfer is spot-on, the audio is...

Doctor Who '05 - perhaps October?

Ah, a man after my own heart :) Anyway, I agree that the first episode was very good, even allowing for the time taked to "set the scene". Special effects - OK not to movie standards, but far, far better than the cardboard sets and puffs of smoke from the old days :) And the sound was pretty...
