I have an AVR 3300 and had to get the fan replaced, heh. Like Chuck mentioned, it would whine when it started up, but it's fine since it has been replaced. Even with my experience I wouldn't let a fan deter a purchase, what sounds good and has the features you need is the key.
Thanks Keith, I think you're right, the Denon will probably have the edge on audio and I will go that route. I sure hope it's in the same league or better than the well-known DCM-370!

My main concern is redbook playback though, ( hope I am not hijacking this thread too much ) and I guess we will not know what this thing can do till some reviews start popping up.

I am curious about the DVM-1805, it looks like a decent unit, unfortunately I cannot find any reviews on the net ( guess it's still too new ) Andy, do you have any links to info on this player besides Denon's site? Thanks.
