Excellent. Loved the music – not just Elvis' but all of it. Felt a little long about 2/3 of the way through, but then it re-captured me. Might go again. Certainly got Elvis on music rotation now!
Great season, really entertaining. I was rooting for Hannah, she had her finger on the pulse. But sadly for her, few allies on the jury. Most surprising moment for me was when Ken tried to "test" one of the others, and completely botched his alliance's plans. That they still managed to get to...
Agreed Vader's gait was a little "off", especially his initial appearance on volcano tower. His hips * belt sashays far more than the original. And while I'm against characters using the Force much (too easy a deus ex machina), letting Vader loose at the end was simply fantastic, cutting through...
Just got back from first viewing - wow. Liked it a lot. Can safely say that's the best Star Wars movie in decades.
Wonderful moment at the end - my kids hadn't realized this took place just before Star Wars (they thought maybe it was another Rey movie).
Haven't seen the theatrical version. Just finished the extended and I certainly enjoyed it. The 'CGI monster of the week' was not half as bad as I feared. Satisfied; solid movie!
Am left pondering who out in space will have heard Lex's bells...
I wonder if the reds will realize Will went over and voted against them.
Very well played idol! Two immunities was just enough to keep red safe this week... next week what protection do they have? Rodney pulling apart his own tribe is their best hope!
Well Sierra's vote there was surprising. If that group of 3 blues (her, Texas, and Post Office) + Joe can stick together, then at the merge bring over Texas' friend, they have a useful set of 5 which should be able to see off the reds. Course by then Joe & Sierra could both flip to the reds and...
Amazing that Natalie feels so closely with Baylor that she'd attempt to get Baylor to vote differently from her Mom, Missy.
Flipping the vote to retain Keith isn't really a "big move", but if Keith does win immunity for them then it could turn out big.
Can someone explain me why the people...
Did Keith really say, "Stick with the plan," to Jon?
Poor Wes - I was glad to see Keith offer the idol to him, though they both knew what was coming.
Well-timed idol play. Does Jon feel like he owes Natalie some trust now?
I found it odd that when Thorin rises and charges on Azog (late in the movie) they play the Elves' theme music. Did anyone else notice that? I loved the dwarf theme in the movie. Maybe they thought it had been played enough already.
I was surprised - some parts I thought would be cheesy were not (Galadriel - actually I enjoyed the council immensely), and even the non-Tolkien parts worked for me. Except for Azog, I don't know why they thought they needed to bring him in. He reminded me of the Uruk-hai chase in FOTR. Really...
Decent season. I feel bad for Brandon - you expect family to have your back no matter what. Well done Sophie; she played a good solid game, and while not an exiting splashy player, made the right moves (stuck with her alliance and got them to stick with her), and won several immunities -...
I understood the Redemption Island idea... but missed them saying WHEN the player would return to the game. Did they say? In time for the jury? Around merge time?
My guess as to why the 3 didn't ally is that Dan is playing for second. He doesn't need any big plays and he's happy voting everyone off knowing everyone wants him in the final. Once Dan couldn't be turned, there was nothing Fabio could do but go along.
For something that will probably sit powered on all day, 10W is really amazingly low. That'll help with your CO2 emissions. Having HDMI means one less cable to buy. The $200 server edition might be the better buy, faster and more storage, with OS X Server if you need that too.
Well done, Rupert! And well done Sandra. I don't want you to win again but darn you are earning my respect. Is Russel really trying to piss everyone off? Seems like it. I guess when you've got the idol you feel braver about a risky play. Parvati lost her main ally, but she can run right...
Amanda's voice saying to keep the idol has no weight. Any protecting of the girls alliance just makes it clear she's actually planning to switch to that alliance at the merge. Think about it from JT's POV. A very likely girls alliance. Two girls on your team, either of which could easily be...
I think at the time that Russel had his argument with Danielle, Pavarti and Danielle had already convinced Sandra and Courtney to vote for Coach, following Russel's wishes.
Then Russel went off to talk to Jerri about voting for Coach. Jerri wasn't having any of that. That's what we didn't see...
Amazing! Took me a while to figure out what on Earth Tyson was thinking. Like Steve it seems to me that Tyson should have just stuck to the plan. All I can think is that he really wanted Parvati gone, and thought that if everyone was piling votes on her then he'd add his just to stick it to her...
re: Russel having a big mouth.
He seems to be flirting with "danger" quite deliberately. Wearing the idol when talking to that guy on the beach (the guy never even spotted it). Saying things like "This is too easy" when only barely out of hearing range, and so on. Maybe he's just trying to...
That's two great episodes in a row. I couldn't wait to see how the council came out. Nice job by the editors to throw a possible vote for Natalie in there. The nice thing is... Russel probably wasn't too worried. After all, he knew he wasn't going home tonight. Now the plan worked... Galu is...
That was a really great episode. I couldn't work out why the girls were so ready to believe that Eric was gunning for Monica. Where did they get confirmation from? They didn't just believe Natalie did they? Do they have an insider in the gang of guys? (In fact it was rocket scientist's idea to...
