I would think would be the best reason to have this feature. But there would always be a need for whomever hosts the information to keep it available and accessible... forever? But then that would stop the studios from releasing an S.E. of the movie therefore depriving them of revenue from...
I am waiting for a 1080p display to be installed in a couple of weeks and whilst I wait for the S550 to be released, I was going to get a PS3 to use. I'm not so concerned about 7.1 surround sound with it, but I will be moving it to a gaming room later. Basically, is there any difference between...
I think Amazon just uses that date for anything that has passed the release date they were told and it was in fact not released. They did the same thing for A Star Is Born.
Must remember to check on releases before going to the store to buy them.
I agree that the buying of Season 1 would be enough to show your support. I bought it as soon as it came out. I also agree with those that state that "Best Of" discs are not really worth it. My thoughts on them is that it takes you out of sync with what's going on in the whole series and the...
As soon as I got my first VCR I strted recording Star Trek. TNG was playing and DS9 was just a rumor, but I had seperate tapes for every show. Needless to say those are almost all gone now and replaced with DVD. Back then I was recording everything I could. Clasic movies, SciFi shows, Me and my...
There were maybe a dozen peoiple gathered around the racks of SW DVD's at Fry's. 1 rack was FS the other WS. The girl that was handing them out was nearer the FS rack and when it came my turn I said (in a little louder than normal voice) "Widescreen please... always widescreen". About 3/4 of the...
I remember the first day I read an article in a newspaper about DVD. It sounded so cool. Coming down this hill, I read the whole article to my Mom (she was driving). All these things that you could do with it. I knew I had to have one. Now I have five in my house and hundreds of DVD's. I...
I never saw this, though I have seen the advertisment pictures for it. All I ever listened to was a cassette my dad had. Maybe it was an 8-Track. I still have a cassette that I found a number of years ago and picked up. Have it right here as a matter of fact. I have a 2 hour drive tonight, I...
-I can remember my first 45: It had a Elton John With John Lennon song on the B Side and I still have it. -I can remember my first cassette tape: Bobby Sherman: Portrait of Bobby. -I can remember my first Album: "The Innocence" was the band and album name (it had marsy dotes and doesey dotes...
Thanks for the heads up. I just finished watching Season 4 last night. I was hoping I wouldn't have to wait too long before seeing the 5th season. The only episode I haven't seen is, I beleive, the second or third to last episode of the series. Can't wait!
This was on my list, but "Wow!". The first thing I'll watch is the SOTS parts. Great review. I passed on the first release in expectations for this. Glad I waited.
I watched most of them on a notebook when I took my family to Disneyland a couple weeks ago. But I didn't notice any problems there or on my regular player.
Because 400 is not enough! I'd be swapping out DVD's anyways, therefore having to keep all the cases so I could store the ones not in there. That and the other arguments above. Besides, what would I do with the custom DVD Rack I built?
I keep an Excel spreadsheet. :D Here's the list so far... 01/06/04 Babylon 5 Season 4 01/13/04 Freddie VS Jason 01/20/04 Barney Miller Season 1 01/27/04 ST VI: Undiscovered Country 01/27/04 Alice in Wonderland 02/03/04 Gods Must Be Crazy 02/17/04 Kung Fu Season 1 02/24/04 Star Trek...
Guess I'll be sniffing some DS9 tonight. :D Whoa-oa-oa-oa. :p) I noticed it. I thought it was the plastic. Lot's of plastic went into those. Plastic and more plastic. Not much else.
Wow, that must have been a huge dissapointment for her to hear you say her TV didn't perform well. Even though it had been ISF'd, maybe she reset the tv settings (like sharpness et al). Could have been the burn in time. Maybe the ISF was done poorly. Just thoughts.
"They're impure!!!" That's great! Other than that and making sure they are not damaged, I can't think of why you shouldn't get them. I have a couple and had no issues at all.
On 3-D movies... I was wondering about Jaws 3 not being 3-D for the DVD release. Not that I'd buy it, but I was curious none-the-less. Heck, I don't remember if there was 3-D on the VHS either.
I built a 6'x6' DVD stand that can hold even the larger boxset cases (though not the ET large box). Watched Movie DVD's get alphabeticaly sorted in the main area on the left 3'. The lower left area has all the unwatched DVD's. All Specialty/Documentary, TV Shows, Children (or animated)...
My .02,
Pro's:
My whole family loves Grease. I sat through it in the theaters 3 times in a row when it first came out, then went to see it again and again after that. But I was a teenager and ONJ was hot looking at the end of the film.
Music is just greatly done. I especialy like There Are...
I'm going one more place to look, then I'm ordering it if I can't find it there. Fry's, BB, CC all carry some pretty stupid titles but can't get this on the shelf?
Star Trek, B5 and Farscape are my favorite Sci-Fi shows. If you got into B5 you'll deffinitly get into Farscape.
I haven't watched the second episode on the last disc they released because I've seen it, but I haven't seen the second part of that episode (which was the first episode of season 2).
I couldn't give specifics, but I beleive that if you brave a movie that you are not really in to and the ending is great, then you come away saying it was a good movie. If it was a good movie and the ending was terrible, then you feel that it was a good movie and the ending was terrible.
