You can count me in as one who is waiting for The Munsters as well, and way prefers Herman and family over Gomez and family... The Munsters is up there with Gilligan's Island and Miami Vice as series I want to get....and the fact that Gilligan season 1 is now out is really encouraging...
I CAN'T WAIT!
no, wait a minute...not quite correct...
I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
:emoji_thumbsup: :D :emoji_thumbsup:
(not excited about this release or anything...)
*Fortunately* , I already knew to look for MARred versions of DVDs before making the mistake of buying the current version of McLintock! that's out there. Unfortunately, that means one of my favorite films of his is unavailable. Have any of you fellow Duke fans heard any rumors of a...
Here's another vote for Titan AE. I've run most of the other movies suggested in the thread so far through my system, and none came anywhere close to the same level of low-end use. With Titan AE, I thought my windows were going to break as I dove for the volume controls...
To be precise....Holy Grail is NOT flawless. It's missing the first subtitle that is supposed to display when the opening credits are rolling. (It IS, however, GREAT Python fun throughout...!) The Special Edition that came to mind for me was the Toy Story Ultimate ToyBox set. I can't think of...
WHOAH!!
I completely missed that in the Fox transcript.
TOO cool. I used to watch both movies WHENEVER they came on the TV, and they've been on my "must acquire" list since my first contact with DVD.
(not to mention June is my birthday month, and a double-feature Flint set would be a...

I think that there are BIG issues with the rights to Ren & Stimpy.
You may recall that the creator, John Kricfalusi, was basically thrown off the show by Nickelodeon, who broadcasted the show...
I'd wager there are some monumental legal issues that will keep R&S off DVD for quite some...

The most recent release of Tora! Tora! Tora! finally is anamorphic. (I waited for it before buying MY copy)

This is a follow-on to the original Holy Grail problem thread. People are starting to post queries again about this disk, and the original thread is HUGE. Hopefully, this will give everyone the answers they need without having to generate a bunch of new posts...
Sign The HOLY GRAIL PETITION...
ALL of the questions you're asking in this thread have already been answered in the previous thread we started up and have been maintaining since last year when Holy Grial: SE came out.
I suspect that the length of that thread is why this one was started. IF YOU THINK IT'S WORTHWHILE....I can...
I'm confused......
The table I created to track this has the DVP-S360 clearly in the list of players that were identified that DO have this problem....and also indicates that one person has reported that the "fixed" disk works properly.

Did you all just...

I gave up the battle(only 440 signatures on the petition, even after so many weeks have passed since I started it...), and bought the Special Edition from Columbia House.
The one they sent me is the CORRECTED version. The subtitles behave themselves on my Toshiba SD2108.
(and YES...

No joke...Take a close look at Columbia House DVD Club.
If you do your homework, you can buy tons of DVDs for less than $10 each.
(hoping this doesn't piss off the HTF "Gods"...)
HERE is a link to a VERY complete FAQ about the club, at "The Other Forum"
Let's not pressure FOX to hurry on this one...this is an absolute classic, and the more time they put into doing it right, the better it will be (hopefully!)
Having said that, I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THEY ANNOUNCE IT'S RELEASE DATE!!
(so...I'm officially giving up on the petition having any effect. We haven't even reached 500 signatures yet...)
For anyone who has been waiting, there is a new alternative...The current version of the SE is now available as an enrollment selection at Columbia House.
At least that way, you...
(Hopefully, this won't anger the HTF "gods"...they don't have a similar place here with this info)
DVDTalk has almost an entire forum devoted spcifically to how to use CH to your best advantage....
Here is a direct link to the forum itself
First thing you should do is read The CH DVD Club...
Bumping again...
11,000+ signatures for Wonka widescreen, and only 360 for a completely correct version of MPHG: SE?
I'm very surprised, AND disappointed.

If there is an issue with Dinosaur SE, I'm not aware of it...but then again it's not a movie I care to get. Why not start a DIFFERENT thread to discuss it and stir up interest from others like you that want that particular title?
As for there being a solution to the Holy Grail: SE...
OK, my bad...in the heat of composing this petition, I got carried away with making all the possible bad points about the first pressing of the disc.
I've sent a request to the administrators at petiiononline to change the phrase:
"must pay Sony/CTHE again to get the "corrected" version of...
