Credit to the guys working the Guest Services desk at the AMC in Framingham, MA, who actually knew what I was talking about when I asked them about the upcoming show. They said it'll be a 4K presentation, and they're showing it in one of their larger theaters, #1. I'll be there for the 1pm...
Man, Paramount impresses me with the low price point on this set. Universal, which is responsible for the ludicrously priced early season Quantum Leap and Northern Exposure sets, should really take some lessons here from The Mount. Now, if we could only convince the Paramount gang that...
Woo hoo! Thumbs up to Universal, also, for keeping the price the same for the later sets. The first set was priced on the high side, but full seasons at $60 MSRP ($40 in the stores) is a real good deal for such a great show! And only a short wait -- October! Awesome! -Brian
I agree; these things are great! There's a pretty comprehensive list at www.two-disc.com Warner's web site advertising these discs. Actually, there's a buy 2 get 1 free (by mail) special going on, so y'all might want to boogie over there. The free disc isn't some chinsy throwaway -- you...
Try Columbia House! If you choose the right deal, you can often get discs (inluding Se7en and The Right Stuff: SE and many more) for as low as $7 a disc! (I know this because Tyler knows this.) -Brian
I am a Lost Episodes fan as well! However, getting the classic 39 for around $40 is a little more affordable for me than getting all of the Lost Episodes box sets at around $35 each... -Brian
Very sad to read today about Art Carney's passing. :frowning: As much as the show was always focused on Ralph, I must admit that I've always been a big Norton fan. So much so, that I dressed up as him one Halloween when I was 8 or so! lol...This was in the 80s...I'm pretty sure I was the...
Hey Alex (and everyone else...), I was a loyal member of RALPH as well, back then. (...even though I was only 7 or 8 at the time!) They used to show the Classic 39 on WPIX all the time, and I started watching them as a kid. Then I begged and pleaded 'till my parents took me into that...
As a reformed comic geek, it is my duty to point out that it is actually Groo the Wanderer. ...I'm sure he had a fight or two over the years, though... :) Q'apla! -Brian
No 80s Islanders teams?!? How can you have "dynasty teams" in the game and not have them? Anyhow, I've been trying to decide if I want to get this game too. NHL 2K3 was awesome, and I'm loving the idea of unlocking all those extras, like extra jerseys and teams, but on the other hand I'm...

Funny that I just came across this thread...I was jamming on that song with some friends no more than 10 minutes ago.

Christine,
Sorry to hear that they left the extras off of the region 4 disc. I've never quite understood why (other than if it's possibly an issue of who owns the rights) studios don't release catalog titles as all-region.
In any case, Benny and Joon is a wonderful, and terribly underrated...
Jack,
For the most part, I agree with you. I'll be simply thrilled to have the Redux on DVD. ...I caught it in the theaters at the Loews in Boston, and happened to really enjoy it.
The only thing I do wish, however, is that the Hearts of Darkness documentary were available somewhere...
Well, I'd only be wary of the Rushmore / High Fidelity two pack if you already have one or both and are expecting more features, or if it doesn't have the Rushmore: CC and you want it.
If neither of those things are true...go for it! Those are two superb films!!
