A pity. From the UK, there’s a 2008 iTV Blu of Great Expectations, and a 2014 Studio Canal of Hobson’s. There’s also an iTunes HD of Oliver Twist. I don’t recall any of them to be spectacular transfers, but I do recall them being significantly better than the ancient Criterion DVDs.

I just picked up the iTunes Days of Wine and Roses at $5. Did a fair spot check and IMHO it's the WA transfer. Looks exactly the same as my disc to me.

Warner Archive is neither a business nor a corporation. It is a tiny division of what is now a huge conglomerate. This division long had excellent customer service, but since David Zaslav, it can no longer even purchase paper clips...
