No one going to comment on the Sanyo PLV-Z2? It might be a little underpriced for this range at street of about $2000, but from what I've read about it, it seems like a good projector.
I am considering this projector for purchase. How would it stack up to the Panny 300U?
Hi there... I have a buddy that recently informed me that he was going to buy some Bose speakers. "Why?" you might ask... Well, he likes the small size of the speakers. He told me that if I could find a better substitute, he would buy something else. I think he can do a lot better for his money...
I have a friend who wants to buy a new TV. She currently has digital cable, and HD on some stations will probably be available within the year. She wants this TV to last around 5 or 6 years. 90% of her viewing will be 4:3. She ideally wants to get a 36" tube, but HD only seems to be affordable...
Now, I have not seen the movie more than once, and I did have a hard time following some of the dialog at the end of the movie, so some of the parts I reference here might be off a little bit. Not to mention that what I'm about to say could be completely wrong. I have also not read the 20+ pages...
My sister would like to know if there are any hotels that have heated pools that are open year-round?
Another question that I would have is, what date are the outdoor pools generally opened for the season? Or are there even any indoor pools?
Being from Michigan, it's hard to tell how things...
My family in planning a trip to Las Vegas, and I have some questions: (Please keep in mind we want to stay on the strip)
1) We're looking at March, are there certain weeks or times of the week that is more advantageous to go? Weekend, weekday, early in the month, later in the month, etc...
I have a Sony SAT-A4 DSS receiver. It has optical digital output for DTS and DD decoding.
I don't have the manual anymore, but who needs one anyhow? I have a power cord, remote, and can send some composite cables, if needed. It has been deactivated for about 4 months, but it does have the card...
I just found out that my wife is pregnant, so I wanted to return my Xbox game. Best Buy took everything back except for my Halo game. Can someone help me out?
I'll sell it for $47 and cover shipping.
I'd also consider trading it for 2 or 3 DVDs of interest to me:
Swordfish
Enemy at the Gates...
There are many places around Jackson, MI that have Xboxes. They did not sell out around here. I guess the only store that did was Meijers, but they were the only one to be open at midnight.
You can walk into Best Buy, Curcuit City, Meijers, etc... and buy whatever you want. Best Buy was not...
I just found out that HDNet is now broadcasting on DirecTv channel 199. They are primarily showing baseball in HD, but they will be showing some NHL in October and maybe the Olympics coming up. Starting in October, they are supposed to be broadcasting 16 hours a day, all in HD.
Their web site...
I guess I should feel happy about the opinions that my equipment is already good. There's really no NEED to upgrade anything. You know what happens when you have a little extra money in the future, you look for a place to spend it. It will need a component switching device, however, because the...
I'm ponding the future upgrade of my system. Please provide any feedback you can. I'll try to explain my current plans, but feel free to object.
TV: Sony 61HS10 (New)
DVD: Toshiba 3108 (Plan to upgrade after HT-HiFi Shootout 2 to prog scan)
Receiver: Rotel RSX-965 (Upgrade in future to...
I'm looking for a good CD/DVD for checking sound levels. I have the Video Essentials, but I couldn't find any frequency sweeps on it. My receiver is a Rotel, and it only has white noise generation.
I'd like to check my DBs at various levels. Any ideas?
I'm looking for a cheap solution. I...
I spoke with a B&W rep recently because I was also looking at upgrading my CC6 center with the LCR6 center. He indicated that there would be a big difference. When I asked about upgrading to the CDMCNT, he said that I should not put that center with my 602 mains. In fact, he was adamant that I...
Believe me, there's a support forum for all women! Any time they are talking or communicating with another woman, they are surely talking about their husbands in some way. I just ask that it not occur when I am sitting right there.
I was at a local HT shop, and I was looking at some subwoofers, and the salesman asked if I was looking to buy a subwoofer. I said that I already had a very good sub, and he asked what kind. Well, I told him that I have an SVS, and that he might not have heard about it because it was a internet...
Are there any women out there that must nominate their husband for HT Husband of the Year?
There must be some women out there where the HT tweaking at their house is primarily their activity...
Anyone???
Here's my experience with price-matching. I hope you are as lucky:
I had heard through this board that Sears price matched, so I went there to ask about it. The salesman gave me his card and indicated that I needed a printout of a web page. I printed out a web site that had the Sony 61HS10 for...
I'm interested in getting the Panasonic RP-91. I've been quoted $629 locally, and was thinking that this was a real high price. Any thoughts on this, or suggestions on where to look?
Thanks!
(I tried the search, but it was down.)
It looks like Dish Depot is only for Dish Network.
I just got the Philips DSR3000 from American Satelite. It's a DirecTivo unit. I was lucky. I got the DSR3000, multi-satelite dish, installation and a $100 rebate for $439. ($339 after rebate) I was even an existing customer. This expired in...
Bump and Price Drop: $425 includes shipping (in Cont. US)
Price for a new unit is $300+$250 = $550.
Ebay had them going for more, but I don't like to use Ebay.
You're right, the TiVo box I am selling has the lifetime service already paid for. You just need to rerun the steup for the stations you receive. The lifetime service is attached to the equipment, not the person, so whoever buys this get the TiVo lifetime membership with the 30-hour unit.
You...
I just upgraded to another TiVo unit. I'd like to keep it, but finances tell me otherwise. I don't believe I have the original box, but I will have it packaged well. Manuals, remote and most cables are included: S-Video, Phone Cable, composite cable, serial controller and infrared controller...
My Sony 61HS10 RPTV produce a much cleaner analog cable picture than my other direct view TVs (13", 20", 27"). I was prepared for the worst, but was plesantly surprised. DirecTv is also very nice. The DirecTv picture is just as good as my non-progressive DVD player.
