The spores with their greasy growing heads looked quite revolting I remember and didn't some of the characters feel sick at the sight of them or was it their smell or bacteria perhaps?

I liked the way that David Vincent spied out his enemies upon entering a new situation each week and gave a disgusted sort of look when he realised that the chauffer had a crooked pinky or the guys working on the wires and with the electrics were sparking on and off and unharmed! And this is...
That's funny I thought he was a heck of a guy to be honest! He lost his job (although we do see him architecting on at least one occasion) he lost his girlfriend (although like Richard Kimble he was a babe magnet) and he'd been put into a few hospitals for observation at least! Does it matter if...
I know what you mean but without David Vincent we would have factories run by George Vikor producing alien regeneration tubes, machines controlling insects to eat human flesh en masse, the earth's axial orbit would have been disturbed and killed billions allowing the aliens to land here and...
I've always thought that The Life Bringers would have been a great episode to end the series on! The two aliens taking off in the saucer on their way back to their planet to recall their forces upon earth and end the invasion! But yes The Pursued also had the plot of Vincent getting an alien to...
The Condemned was the first season finale and although filmed seventh in order had Vincent capture an alien file with the details of alien landings all over the world for the next year! His ally, Morgan Tate, was killed by their disintegration weapon in the factory, that the aliens led by Murray...
The final episode screened and filmed was The Inquisition. Mark Richman as a senator obsessed by David Vincent and his alien paranoia and Susan Oliver guesting as well as he tried to destroy the Believers and their alien invaders in a court case where aliens even assumed the role of some of...
The early Invaders episodes were the better ones I thought with the premiere being the best and scariest of the lot! The later ones tended to lose the alien taste and were more like weekly spy adventures!

I think they were trying to show a possible future where the repressed British attitude to sex had evaporated and all people were free to be and feel sexually adequate!

Ayesha was waving at Alec Freeman who waved at her too! Straker was a moody git who nobody took any chances with and you can understand why when you learn of how he lost his family due to his devotion to SHADO and the war with the aliens! True, there are plenty of men ogling women's butts in the...
The Saucers were conveyors of the alien race determined to bring down humanity not the war machines of H G Welles Martian conquerors! It was mentioned a few times that the aliens were not strong enough to take on humanity on military terms but with superior thinking and planning and alien...
The Invaders was a classic series agreed but the UFOs or Saucers as they were referred to in the show made regular appearances from time to time too!
JB
Nick Baxter was more dangerous than the rest of the Invaders as he really enjoyed killing the people, like the old lady, with his icy touch! Hell he even murdered the dog!!!!
JB
Star Trek has airdate order, Production order, Stardate order and even the dreaded BBC order! The same goes for Space 1999, Lost in Space third season, Land of The Giants, UFO and many other series! Only The Invaders has no info on production order or any other order than it's usual one!
JB
Well, no! Every channel shows the series in the same old order. I'm wondering if there is a channel that showed them in another ordering as such? Most shows are screened in varying orders on different channels except The Invaders!

Has anyone in the UK had any problems with The Believers set? I bought the first season back in 2007 and was told about the recurring subtitles coming on in four episodes! The Leeches, Nightmare, doomsday minus One and one other on the third disc! Well I know they fixed the glitch on The Leeches...
There were a couple of episodes where he was still in his office architecting as it were when he either found a clue to another alien plot or was summoned by whoever!
Does anyone know what order the various channels screened the series in the seventies as I've heard that an ITV station showed...
