I've currently got a Panasonic SA-HE200 receiver at home that has the same re-master feature. I find that it makes a subtle, but nice difference - especially on MP3 material.

From what I understand, the F65 will indeed play DVD-Audio discs, but it only outputs 2-channels. I'm not sure if this means that it will downmix 6-channel recordings, but I really can't see it 'throwing away' 4 channels of information.

Ryan, the Canadian 'suggested selling price' for the F85 is $299. The S55/F65 are $249 and the S35 is $199.
