Well if it's a competition, I guess I should be clearer. :) The 33 films was counted from a list of dvds I watch. I actually own a few others that I don't like, but own cause they came in box sets, or are part of a double-bill with something I do like. There are 6 of those films I own on dvd...
If I might also make a recommendation - track it down as a rental. :) Obviously there are those who like it, but I think it's the worst film Hitchock ever made (and I LOVE Hitchcock - I own 33 of his films on dvd).
Ron,
Lifeboat is definitely a great Hitchcock film, but it's not as good as Rear Window or Psycho, so if you've seen those and aren't impressed, then I don't think Lifeboat (or any other Hitchcock film for that matter) is going to turn you into a huge fan.
Rope also has a fantastic trailer, best viewed after watching the movie, in which the victim is actually seen. Many of Hitchcock's trailers are well worth watching.
While packaging has never stopped me from buying a dvd I want, these overlapping discs come the closest. It's not that there's an extra motion involved, it's the increased risk of accidently scratching or warping the discs. It's very hard to gently remove the top dvd without touching the bottom...
