Why not, that is exactly what happens if a person purchases the 4K digital and then streams it on a non-4K display. You get the HD digital.

It's probable due to the disc having a larger file than a stream.

I have the most recent BD, but I purchased the 4K digital this morning and will probably watch the latter in the near future. I'm not a big fan of musicals so if this 4K digital is pleasing to my eyes, I seriously doubt I'll be doing any comparisons to the BD.

The settings I posted won't defeat HDR for movies that are streaming in HDR/DV. For movies that are not HDR, those movies will stream in SDR.
