I continue to be moved by this film and have written a review of my copy to hopefully introduce this performance to others: https://www.hometheaterforum.com/ryuichi-sakamoto-opus-blu-ray-review/
I’d watched it on digital (it was just $5 during a recent Fandango at Home sale), but it wasn’t Atmos. Amazon has it on sale right now so I gladly ordered the Blu-ray. Thanks!
I watched this today and was deeply moved. Beautiful compositions performed by a master, and we, the audience, invited to witness the musical intimacy. Extraordinary.
May he rest in eternal peace. A lovely tribute, Ron, for a man who lived a life in care of others (through his nursing career) and a life of personal passion which helped create this space we all adore.
Heartbreaking to see this news today. May we celebrate his life and honor his memory!
Thanks for the review, Matt. My copy should arrive late next week. I have always loved watching this film, and your review is on point. I am thrilled to read that the image quality in 4K is worth the wait!
