I am going to buy a sub. The room size is about 14x20 with 8' ceiling. But their is also a lagre opening into another room that is about 14x14.
I like the idea of the cylinder over the box, like being differnet. But I wont trade performance just to get the tube. So that said anyone have any...
Ya, I just figure it is a good sighn that their may be more true HD content coming on TNT. Either way you can view it as 4:3 and it looks better then the normal TNT station, and 5.1 sound.
Well they do list it in the 120 package on their web site now, Sirius that is, so I wouldn't think is would be temporary.
I see no mension of TNT-HD at all though
Did anyone else notice that TNT is HD on Dish Net now. Don't know when they added it, just happen to see it when I turned my favorite channels list off.
Also they added a bunch of Sirius music channels that are great, much better then the CD channels they have. That was the only thing I...
I have no OTA so I know that is not an issue. So far the programing guide has been good now since my last post, they must have fixed some software issue. Have atleast 24 hours of programing now.
Just an update:
Last night now I see that I have programming for 24 hours of so in the future. Anyone know if they did anything to fix things or it just started working?
Well maybe I am a lucky one, but I just got my 811 on 05/01.
The only problem I see is that the guide doesn't go very far in the future, only 1 hour or so.
Picture quality is great, better then what my Direct TV was. No lock ups or lost picture as of yet, everything seems OK.
As far as...
Well so far that is the only problem that I see, and it is pretty minor and I can live with that one. So far I am happy, long term will tell the story.
Well I got my first Dish bill today. The price is exaclty the same as I was paying for Direct (same channels) plus I got HD pack. So the HD pack was pretty much free. If I didn't have the HD I would be saving $10 a month, that is worth it to me.
I made the switch from Direct TV to Dish Net to get HDTV. I have the 811 Reciever, first of HDTV is great, and the regular channels even seem a little clearer then the Direct TV did. Maybe it is because the 811 ups them to a 1080 signal?
But my main question has to do with the program guide...
I am not upset so much about rate increases, prices do go up. What gets me is I have to pay Pegasus an extra $6-8 is seams for the same programming, actually less programing because they don't give you all the channels that you are suppose to get with the Total Choice package.
Anyone heard of price increases from Dish or Direct, here is the thing.
I HAVE to get Direct TV from Pegasus Satellite. Well they charge me $44.48 for the same package that Direct TV offers for $39.99. Plus on my bill I got today it says that they are increasing the rate another $3.25 next...
Whats up with this:
http://www.dishnetwork.com/content/p...es/index.shtml
I just can't win, was going to dump Direct to get Dish HD and now this, I am on the waiting list. They did have CBS HD also, looks as thought that is gone now too, I give up
Turn the gain up higher on the sub, like 3/4 or so. If it is not up high enough the Vamaha will not here it in the auto set up and not know it is their.
Also if the sub has an auto on try and override it so it is on all the time. I have had no luck with auto on.
Wait a second, how does...
As for your room size, assuming an 8' wall height and not knowing your vault pitch. It should be around 2300-2500 cu.ft.
I have to say that I am leaning toward what you are thinking. Get one PC-Ultra right now, down the road I can always add another if I need to. I can't imagine that I...
Well you guys aren't making this any easier, LOL
So I wonder how Dual PC-Ultra's will compare to the PB2-Ultra, time will tell I guess
I don't care for the wood on the PB2-Ultra really, if they would make it to match Rockets, now that would be a different story.
But since my Yamaha V2400 does all the bass managment is any of that extra stuff really important on the sub? I have the phaze and crossover on my current Yamaha sub but don't use it do to the fact that the reciever takes care of it all.
I should have said before what my recieve was, forgot...
Well I have decided to bite the bullet and do it. And I have decided that I want to go with a Cylinder and not a cube, I just like the looks.
From their a narrowed it down to either the PC-Ultra or the CS-Ultra with their Samson 1000w amp (500 per channel).
My room is 2,600 cu.ft. - it is...
I have Media Studio Pro by Ulead that I use for doing video editing of home movies and such. I can plug my JVC MiniDV camcorder right into it. I also have a Sony converter that converts S-Video or Composite into Firewire so I can feed old VHS stuff into the computer and convert to digital. Then...
What inputs are you using from your SAT to the V2400?
Reason I ask is because the V2400 will convert video up but not down. What this means is that if you are using S-Video or Component Video on your SAT box into the V2400 the video will not get fed into the Composite in of your VCR. This...
I already got them all hooked up in series for 8ohm, seems to be working fine.
After looking into my V2400 a little more I ended up running the LFE back into one of the extra inputs and hooking the shakers up to the Zone 2 powered out. Kinda nice it is all hooked up to on receiver that way...
I got my 2 Aura Pro's on the big brown truck today. Sorry if this is a dumb quetion but am I correct that I need to wire them in series since they are only 4 ohm to run them off my Yamaha reciever. Get out of work and I can go home a play :D
The 500 is the only one for sure that was going to be in HD, more may come, NBC isn't saying for sure.
Not that is does me any good when you can't get NBC-HD on Dish or Direct-TV
Thanks for the advice, I just ordered up a pair of the Aura Pro's for $60 with shipping, it is cheap enough to give a try. Will put these to in the recliner and then probably 4 in the couch if all works good.
So when will we see Dolby 7.2 with 7 true channels and sub channel and a dedicated...
The more I read about this the more I think I want to try it. I have an Yamaha 850 layin around that I can use, although very large for the job I can use it to see if I like it.
Question I have is this, I have seen pictures of this where they install the shakers (or a pair) under the seat of...
