Finally hooked up the 49 Gene. Kudos on the packing job. Bonus, of sorts, it plays region free(probably what the "code free" was) DVD as well. The Orei crapped and exchanging it, so I get to still watch my R2 discs, yay(not that I didn't have spares, or the DV420...but nice to drop a player).

I've been Googling my own question as well... 5.1 DSD or 2.0? I can't get a straight answer on the 49, while the 48 apparently does DSD as 2.0...supposedly.

I'm interested in one of the Pioneer. My office Integra has decided to be flaky(the drawer opens and closes...then finally decides to stay shut).Either do DSD?
