    And the GKIDS subtitles are different than Disney's "literal" translation? I wonder if there are any big substantive changes, or if it's just phrasing that has been translated differently.

    I believe the Disney Spirited Away disc had both literal English subtitles and English "dubtitles." As I recall, the disc made it confusing as to how to turn on each of those. I think if you selected the Japanese language audio and English subs from the menu you'd get one option, but you'd get...

    The Castle in the Sky Blu-ray only has dubtitles, IIRC.

    I haven't seen them all, but most of GKIDS' Ghibli releases have proper English subtitles that fix the "dubtitles" issue that plagued previous editions.

    Unless RAH can confirm otherwise, I would imagine these are the same discs GKIDS released previously (distributed by Shout! Factory), just repackaged into SteelBooks.
