It's a "Via Vision" disc. On the disc it says "Licensed from MGM Studios Inc. and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment LLC and made available in Australia / New Zealand by Park Circus Ltd. through Via Vision Entertainment."
There's no mention of Disney per se anywhere on the disc or case, but...
I took a gamble and ordered this. It's the Australian/New Zealand release. Even though it's labeled as Region B it plays just fine in my Region A player (Sony BDP-S6500).
It's listed as 1.85:1, but it's actually 2.35:1. I've only watched a few minutes of it, but it's about on par...

I guess I got lucky. As soon as I saw that it wasn't available on Amazon, I looked it up on BB. I must have snagged one of the last copies (of the first batch).
My corrected set arrived from PBS today. A quick check of Episode 1 shows the problem has been corrected, at least to my eyes and modest system. The side bars are now black, and the picture no longer looks whitewashed. The beginning and end titles now have a black background.
