I was up until 3:00 a.m. yesterday binge watching "It's a Sin" Excellent! Especially for those of us growing up in the eighties.

Having friends over for dinner and a movie tonight. I'll probably recommend that we watch Uncle Frank.

Just watched Uncle Frank. Great movie. I found it very emotionally moving. Terrific performances from all the actors. Thanks for the recommendation. The director and writer, Alan Ball, also wrote one of my favourite and ground breaking TV series, Six Feet Under.

I'm keen to pick this up on blu-ray but it appears that the French release does not have English subtitles and I can't speak French.

I don't understand why they decided to re-make it. The original movie stands up very well. Not sure that its themes are quite as relevant today as they were when the original was released.

I cannot agree with OliverK IMO the movie looks great. I'm very happy with it and it's certainly an improvement over the SDVD.
