    As counterintuitive as it may sound, it's actually cheaper to produce a 4K UHD display, especially if you limit said display to HDR10. Why? The current 4K UHD home standard is only 60Hz, whereas you need at least a 120Hz refresh rate to do active 3D, and passive 3D requires a polarizing screen...
