I tested a limited batch of these and I like the Motorola 700 (small, good battery life, no scratchy sound) and the Plantronics 510 had good sound, but it did not fit behind my ear well. A bunch of others (lots of motorolas) stunk.

With both zones on, the stereo receiver is most likely set for 8 ohm impedance. Your Polks most likely dip low based on Polk's history? Did you nail in the speaker runs you installed yourself? Nails can cause shorts. I am not the biggest fan of the Denon Stereo Receivers.

That Sony sub is very solid for the price. I would rec'd a weight (~20+ lbs.) be placed on top of it, b/c it "walks" around a bit ;).
