I really like that one too! Would probably hover around the top 5 of her films I'd like to see upgraded.
Shifting toward the end of her career, I love THE GIRL MOST LIKELY. To be honest I find myself revisiting it more than many of her better known films. I think it is just a lot of fun and...
Sorry to hear! As far as I know, Romance on the High Seas (one of my very favorite Doris Day films) is the only disc in my Doris Day sets that has gone bad and I was fortunately able to replace it with the beautiful Blu ray so all is okay. Your experience would be a nightmare for me as my...
Both of these Technicolor musicals sound awesome! Look forward to experiencing them someday! And of course I am familiar with Debbie Reynold's' "Abba-Dabba Honeymoon" number - only the clip but not the film.
This just underscores HOW FAR the WA has to go in their mission to "unleash the...
Nice! Someone else who really loves On and Island with You!
I have Date With Judy and would definitely upgrade if WA released a Blu ray. Not familiar with Two Weeks with Love or Nancy Goes to Rio but pretty much guaranteed I'd be interested in those as well if released.
Its surprising Royal...
Funny you mention Jane Powell cuz just yesterday I was thinking how great it would be to see Small Town Girl get a Blu ray release. She is definitely overdue for another of her films to enter the WAC in HD.
Agree! To be honest, anything Esther Williams related that WA releases on Blu ray I'll be happy to upgrade... but I do have my preferences. I also thought Easy to Wed stood a particularly good chance of getting a Blu ray upgrade. Time will tell!
Nice! DUCHESS OF IDAHO is SO underrated and would actually be my #4. Not being included in either of the Esther Williams box sets gave me the impression it was a "lesser" film but once I finally got around to seeing it, I was shocked to discover it was not only really good, but ranked among the...
I was so excited to hear about the release of this film!! It should look AWESOME!
I hope there are more to come as my "top three" most anticipated Esther Williams titles haven't received a Blu ray release yet.
