That wouldn't have been a bad idea. I do remember the Colbys airing over and over and over on SoapNet back in the day. I have a certain fondness for Colbys but yeah, it never really found its footing. I certainly never objected to the casting which I thought was sublime, but you had all these...
I don't think the writers knew what to do with Emma and/or Fallon on "The Colbys." She was 'Fallon' in name only. Honestly, the character of Fallon should have been doing the things that Bliss and Monica were doing -- somewhere in between those two was a "Fallon."
I think the "Colbys" didn't...
The Reunion has popped up in syndication from time to time, but not as part of the Dynasty package. It is not listed in the CBS syndication bible.
All seasons but #1 are available in high Def for syndication. ..not sure if Dynasty is streaming at present.
Richard Shapiro actually wrote a prequel mini series for Dynasty a few years ago and was shopping it around. It would have dealt with Blake and Alexis in the 50s.
I was generally pleased with it. It looks very much the way it did back in 1986. I noticed the sound quality is better on some episodes than others. Spelling is known for carefully storing their prints. They did overall a good job on Colbys. I'd give it a 4/5. It's not perfect but pretty much...
Well, yeah. You can make a long list of inaccuracies quoted by Joan in the following article:

Supposedly, the original plan was for Fallon's UFO experience to be actual, not an hallucination. But the network wisely told the writers to knock it off.
Too Many Carringtons!
(Or: The Curse of Season 6)
Now that the Colbys is available, I'm marathoning the entire series of Dynasty, interspersed with its sister program. I expect to be done by end of June of so. I'm now midway through Season 6, that awful, awful season (for so many reasons). I...
That's starting to bother me too. I don't know why they didn't just put it out as an extra with Season 9; would have saved everyone a lot of headaches. The Reunion sucked so bad, and was so out of continuity that it must have been an alternate universe story (I've seen better Dynasty fanfic)...
I have a "Spelling" shelf for those. It starts with Dynasty, then the Colbys, then 90210 (and its sequel) & then Melrose Place. So, in the order that all those shows premiered. All those dvds take up a whole shelf.
I have it now. I might point out it seems to be some sort of joint venture with CBS because the CBS logo is on the box. I wonder if CBS planned to put it out themselves and then wound up licensing it to Shout?
The quality is on par with the Dynasty releases. It looks very much like it did in...
Dynasty's Dearly Departed:
Ted Dinard: killed by Blake in season 1.
Matthew Blaisdel: presumed dead early in season 2. Returned in season 7 and died for real in season 8.
Lindsay Blaisdel: apparently died in South America, offscreen, season 2.
Walter Lankershim: disappeared late in season...
Frankly, I always wondered if they introduced Caress as a possible replacement for Joan Collins--the latter always finicky during negotiations. Joan nearly left the show two or three times. They'd need an acceptable character to carry on for her. A sister? When they brought Caress back, I...
They only really brought her in because Linda was leaving and they needed another leading lady. Supposedly, they planned to bring back Dominique in season 10 to replace Joan Collins. Dominique was supposedly the woman in the car in the series finale.
Except for a few back-to-back "event" episodes, Dynasty aired on Wednesdays and the Colbys on Thursdays. The "Dynasty II" title only lasted for the Colbys' first few weeks.
I wish they hadn't used paintings for those ads; makes Dynasty look like a Mad Magazine parody lol; especially with a ready and waiting Rita lying there, when in fact, she did everything she could to avoid sleeping with Blake, including poisoning him!
The cast as seen in "Dynasty Reunion: Catfights and Caviar" 2006.
Here's a link to a very interesting vintage article about the special:

Well, if that knucklehead had shown up five years earlier, Claudia would still be alive...and so would he! I also thought Claudia deserved a better fate. At least all the Blaisdells showed up for the cast reunion last week.
