Sure, chances are anything new on TV will be in the alternate universe, but they always have the option of going back to the Prime universe. The novels and comics, I think, have some stories still taking place there as well. It's still there...just a matter of whether we'll see another...
Wrong. I've been having this discussion for the last four years. The Prime Universe-the one with Picard, Sisko, Janeway and Archer-still exists. The only thing that has changed is the destruction of Romulus and Spock Prime leaving. That's it. It still exists as another timeline.

Warner Brothers, at least, started doing that during the HD-DVD days. One version came out first and then the other six weeks or so later. I think it's still happening with some isolated releases, but don't quote me on that.
I can't help to wonder, since we're talking about the movie now, if the fight between CBS, Paramount and Bad Robot had anything to do with the way the movie turned out or the supplements. Would be all be singing a different tune if the behind the scene stuff wasn't so tortured...
