FYI - There is no guarantee of completing the series if Volume 1 does not sell well. That said, I cannot imagine that we wouldn't turn a profit on this series as it's very rare (and funny!), the material is pristine and putting it in the lower budgeted RARE TV line helps keep costs down.

Yes, we just announced it within the hour and was about to post it here so here you go...

Today we announced the 3rd release in our Rare Television line for a December release: Angel - The Complete Series, Volume 1.
Created by industry veteran Jess Oppenheimer, producer and writer on the...
Thanks all for your support of our label and our RARE TELEVISION line.
Our release schedule has slowed down a bit of late it's about to pick up. We'll be announcing ANGEL later this week and hope to have between 6 & 12 RARE TV releases next year if sales go well.
Below is our cover art for the...
It will probably take be another 12 - 18 months until Volumes 2 & 3 are released with the last 26 episodes—which we'll only do if the prior volumes sell.
Is it possible the entire series in a complete set could be released at some point? Maybe/maybe not, but if it were it probably wouldn't...
We're happy to share news today of an upcoming RARE TV release of the 1952 Twilight Zone-esque suspense series THE UNEXEPCTED (1952).
The half-hour series ran one season for a total of 39 episodes. We have scanned the first 13 episodes (all from 16mm) and plan to release them in Volume 1 on DVD...
The plan is for all 66 HOPPY's to be released in 22 3-film volumes on our top line. The first two volumes have been scanned and won't be "special editions", but we are adding value with commentaries and bonus features.
We hope they sell well, but if they do not we may have to break them up into...
Yes, we're doing mostly PD now, but A & C did come from the estate and we did license all 66 Hoppy films.
To find out if a title is under copyright, you have to have a search done on it with people in the know (or go to LOCs site, but I don't believe it's exhaustive or definitive in terms of...
Yes, PD shows, even if not complete, would potentially be on the list, however, we're overloaded with content right now and won't be looking at acquiring anything new until later this year/early next.

We've looked into it, and it's high on the list, but music clearance may be an issue. We'll know more later this year.

Thanks for the suggestion.
If some or part of the series is PD we'd definitly take a look at it, but right now we've got our hands full with 5 upcoming TV series and have many more we'd like to prioritize after that.

It's likely rotting away in Warner's vaults somewhere. Being a 10 episode series, I doubt it will ever get a physical release, but I was pleasantly shocked by Warner's Colt .45 announcement (on BD no-less), so, perhaps, anything is possible.

We can't share any news yet regarding the 3 series' mentioned.
We'll be posting a newsletter in the next week or two which will give some indication of what 2024 will look like.
Thanks for asking.

Thanks for asking, but it's not likely to happen. If it does it won't be for a few years as we have our plate full.

Not just yet, but likely early next year we'll start to share some news. The main reason is we want to get the first volume of any particular series scanned before we share news about it as there have been times when projects didn't pan out because the material was too far gone.
Of the 3 series...
I'm not sure about PLAYHOUSE 90 and STUDIO ONE, but I'm pretty sure the others have rights holders and we're only doing PD TV shows for the foreseeable future.

Yes. It's the reason why during home videos heyday (mid-2000s) there were at least 15 studios/labels, large and small, that were putting out classic TV content. Today, there's just us (aside from MPI's O&H and the occasional release from Paramount). TV is just too expensive and the market isn't...
The market is miniscule, cost to produce is high and profitability is 3 - 6 months out, if not more. Producing this niche content is a risk few are willing to take for the above reasons.
Aside from ANGEL, the other 3 upcoming series' are all 39 episodes per season. To release them in 1 season...
Glad you're enjoying BEACON too!
We expect to release Volume 1 of ANGEL in Q2 next year. We have plans for at least 3 other series, but may am not sure if we can release Volume 1's for all next year.
We also have a treat of an extremely rare early 50s live show that only ran a handful of...
