not that it makes a big difference, but if you do decide to pick up Serenity, ask Future Shop to price match HMV's $24.99...yes, it's only a dollar, but it's still money :p I must say that I've noticed a bigger difference in price now (in Canada at least) between regular "special" editions...
http://www.dvdsoon.com/product-image...80&quality=0.8 I'm thinking about buying this dvd, which is supposed to come out on December 28th. However, knowing TVA International's history, I'm a little wary of the quality of the release. DVDsoon doesn't list it as being anamorphically enhanced...
^ I can't comment on how bad it is, but it's a good movie, so it's still worth a look. I also like her other movie, Double Happiness, which for some reason is not available on dvd. However, the semi-follow-up, "Long Life, Happiness & Prosperity" is on dvd. The dvd is only available in US through...
Just a note to Americans, MGM is releasing Virginia's Run in March, and according to dvdanswers.com it'll be released in fullscreen. While the Canadian version from Alliance Atlantis doesn't have the DD5.1 track that the MGM version has, it does have a widescreen transfer, and is available right...
I held out on the original release and now I don't know what to do. I want to get the previous version for the 2 commentary tracks and the making-of feature, but then I kind of want to get the new release just so to save money on the movie ticket. What to do? How is the making-of feature on...
I'm no too sure about this one. I have a feeling that New Line is just going to bundle the movies together, like they did with the 3 Austin Powers, instead of actually redesigning a new boxset.
Does anyone have the Canadian version by TVA Films? The only information I have is from the following pics: http://www.dvdsoon.com/product-image...80&quality=0.8 It says 1.78:1 on the box while the MGM release has 1.85. Also, the Canadian version seems to be missing the "The Saddest...
Does anyone know why the Hellboy Director's cut with Figure is so hard to find? My order from dvdsoon is cancelled because apparently Columbia Tristar only sent 21 copies to them. And they said they don't expect Columbia to send them anymore. They said that they've decided to send more copies to...
I still can't get over how ugly that Infernal Affairs cover is. Not only is that not from the movie, her clothing style doesn't even belong in this decade! It makes the movie looks like some cheap asian porn.
^ I think it is because while ordering and importing dvds online is the norm for many of us here, it is not for the majority of people out there, especially kids and teenagers. Many of them would rather buy the dvd despite the bilingual cover than not have the movie at all. Casual dvd buyers...
Just want to say that the Canadian version of Intermission does not have any extras. The US version has two brief deleted scenes and a theatrical trailer. Nothing much, but thought some of you might want to know. Canadian: http://www.dvdsoon.com/product-image...80&quality=0.8 US:
Regarding Ginger Snaps 3 not being Anamorphic, here's what Seville has to say: __________________________________________________ _________ "Dear customers: The following will summarize the circumstances that lead us to release Ginger Snaps III: The Beginning with an error on the...
While I do think that having just English on the spine is better for me personally, I do understand why Alliance does this, even if the translated name is the same. If you look at Alliance's French only releases (as well as many other Quebec only releases from other studios), you'll notice that...
If you go to dvdsoon.com search for the title and see if it says (bilingual) at the bottom of the specs where it says "Type of packaging:". It's not ALWAYS correct, but newer titles should mostly be up to date. Another way to know is if separate English and French versions of the movie show up...
^ Marc, made some slight edit to my previous post. I think I must be sleepy when I posted. :b Sorry for any misinformation. As for French INSIDE the package, the scene listings has French written in smaller font. There's also some French on the disc art (in the same style as shown on the cover).
