Your review mirrors my thoughts to the letter. It's no exaggeration that I would rank this as one of the worst sequels to an established franchise of all time, right up there with Superman IV The Quest for Peace and JAWS 3 & 4.

I attended an all day DH marathon at my local Regal today which capped off with AGDTDH...I should have left after DH4. As a DH fan I cannot find the words to describe just how devastatingly sad this film was to sit through, or adequately prepare you for how let down you will feel afterward...

Yep, and I've owned every film except DH4 multiple times on each format, VHS (lost count of the various individual cassettes and box sets), Laserdisc (twice), DVD (twice) and BD (once...so far lol).
