Even if it wasn't a big fan of It Follows, I could see what people liked about it. The Babadook, on the other hand, I have no idea what people liked about that movie.
I never thought that their plan had any chance of working. How do you shoot a ghost or supernatural force? That they even tried to do something like that shows that they're children that are in way over their heads.

I really liked this movie in the theater and seeing it again on Blu-ray, I enjoyed it even more. You can tell that John Carpenter was a big influence on the movie and its makers but that influence didn't become artistic theft like many other horror movies.
