Are you joking? Do you really think a TV service would have paid the supposed 400+ million and made it 'profitable'? (Pt 1 supposedly cost 100 million total, so 4 parts would be 400 million).

His last Mission Impossible was a gigantic hit - 556 Million Dollars. That is a ton of tickets sold. Whether it made back some mythical cost (and nowhere are those costs documented - they are buried in some studio accountant's third set of books) is irrelevant to this discussion.
