David, I'm assuming that (like Angel) just because you've licensed all the Hoppys doesn't mean you'll release them all. I'm guessing that first volume, whenever it's released, is going to determine if you continue. Is that correct? And as a follow-up, does the license have an expiration date...
Rescue 8 is very high on my list. Would really love to see that released. Ramar of the Jungle had a substantial release via alpha many years ago. Quite a few volumes.
Gary “Wild Bill Hickok would be nice too” O.
I'm guessing you can't get it, but I'd love to see Waterfront. Might be with MCA/Universal though, so probably wouldn't be doable. Same with Boston Blackie. It'd be an incredible get for ClassicFlix, but probably not feasible.
Gary "thanks for all you guys are doing, David - looking forward to...
I appreciate you at least looking into it, David. A wonderful show that I'd love to see ClassicFlix get a hold of and release down the line if at all possible.
Gary "thanks again for all you folk are doing" O.
I’d be over the moon if you could get This is Alice. Not sure of the rights, but I’d love to see this classic released.
Gary “keep up the good work, David” O.
Your commitment to classic TV is the reason you guys will keep getting my money and support, David. Along with my undying gratitude.
Gary “Merry Christmas to ClassicFlix - you folk always make mine wonderful” O.
And it's a great, great half-season series. Highly Recommended!!!
Gary "this makes me wonder how many other lesser-known series there are that really are diamonds in the rough" O.
Watched the first episode of 21 Beacon Street today. I’m really pleased with the video and audio quality. Also a wonderful episode on its own merits. Well written, and of course well acted by all involve. My plan is to only watch one episode per week, hoping that by the time I finish this series...
Great work, Neal. Thank you for putting in the time to do this. I've seen examples of all these shows, either via YouTube or on VHS or homemade DVD, but as you said most are not the crystal-clear quality we are now used to.
Gary "would love to see any of these released by ClassicFlix" O.
That’s a real shame about CNP, if true. I would hate to think all the shows are locked up in the big studio vaults, with little to no chance of ever being seen again.
While I'd be happy with several of the shows that have been listed here recently, most are 60's shows. And no offense to the Baby-Boomers here (I'm Gen X just barely), but 1960's TV has already been represented very, very well on DVD/Blu. Virtually every well known series, and many lesser known...
Yes, I too thought Car 54 looked pretty good on those dvd sets. I'd personally rather see items released that have never been on home video before. And I think that's what you are primarily aiming at, if I read you correctly, David.
Gary "hoping your new line, Rare Television, prospers...
Just as a follow-up example, I vastly prefer someone like Frances Rafferty over Bette Davis. I know that's not the norm among most film/TV fans, but it's the truth for me. And it's why I loved ClassicFlix releasing that 6th Volume of Hal Roach Streamliner Classics. Loved seeing Frances in Curley.
Thanks for that extra info, Randall. I’ll be on the lookout to pick that up just for the TV episode.
Yep, I just don’t care at all for Bogart. And this will probably get you even more upset, but I’m not a big fan of Ingrid either. I admit I have strange tastes. I often prefer some lesser known...
Thanks for that information, Randall.
I’ll probably get in a lot of trouble here for saying this, but I’ve never bought any version of Casablanca the film, because I don’t care a thing for it. Not a big Bogart fan in the least. I know, I know. Everyone can stop throwing tomatoes at me. Or at...
I'm all in for the Betty Hutton Show - it has a Christmas episode and that makes it an automatic purchase for me. :)
The Jack Benny Program and a remastered Naked City (especially S1) would also be welcome. But I understand that these probably aren't happening any time soon.
Never seen...
And this is exactly why I personally appreciate you folk so much, David. Timeless used to be in the same business, admittedly with a slant toward certain genres because of the owner's preference for such fare. But they were giving me stuff no other outfit would touch. When they got swallowed up...
I had been feeling a bit sheepish about using this new thread from ClassicFlix to simply create wish-list items constantly. Randall (aka Flashgear) read my mind when he posted a couple of days back about not inundating David with a ton of requests. So in the spirit of that I'm going to post here...
