So Angel is available for preorder? I like to order several discs at one time . I’m up to date on your releases thanks to your recent sale. Any other new preorders , so I can order together?
So it WAS Hall’s company that produced it . I remember reading an old interview with him where he mentioned that.
It seems like no one renewed the copyrights. Many companies have Ramarreleases , most of which seem to come fro 16mm/ VHS releases that emerged in the eighties.
Ramar seems to be PD now. I’m pretty sure it was produced by Jon Hall.
William F. Broidy is Guy Madison! He produced the show. At one point, his daughter had a web site devoted to him AND the Wild Bill Hickok Show which she appeared to be very interested in.
I don’t know why she never tried to...
I’ll be looking forward to those future projects including Angel and Hoppy. And I’m also hoping some interesting TV shows are among them.
I just checked out the LOC site. It’ll take me a little time to fully figure it out! Thanks for the info!
So David , I was wondering what the criteria is you use when selecting shows for release on DVD and possibly Blurays.
I’d guess, usable source material, PD if possible, not too many seasons?
It seems to me World Of Giants was licensed from ZIV.
Abbott And Costello Show came from Costello...
Dave, I know your release schedule will be full for the next year or so, but I always like to mention shows that I thought were good, just in case they might be something you could look into down the road.
So here goes: THE CHARLES FARRELL SHOW. Ran as a summer replacement program right after My...
Re. Waterfront.
Same here. Maybe Preston Foster’s finest moment, and featuring the great Willie Best!
I’d love to see the complete series on DVD, especially with the Classic Flix treatment’
I’m going by my memory of watching it regularly back then and a couple of mediocre video quality episodes I was able to see in VHS about 25 years ago.
I wouldn’t dismiss a show from that era until I’ve seen the entire series or most of it which an unlikely DVD release would provide.
David , are you familiar with a hour long 1961 NBC Civil War series called the Americans? It was a mid season replacement for the cancelled Riverboat series, and starred Darryl Hickman and Dick Davalos , and many great guest stars. The two leads played brothers who lived in a border state and...
Hey Landlord was a witty sixties style show that lasted for a single season. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out why these one season wonders didn’t catch on. Classic Flix has given us a number of them like Blondie, O’Henry Playhouse, World Of Giants and soon Angel.
Every one of those have been...
Yes, the show is good, and VCI’s releases aren’t bad. I wish they would release a third volume.
Better yet , the show appears to be PD. Maybe a CF release could happen?
So
So, PD shows where complete acceptable elements exist have the best chance of being released. How about similar shows owned by estates of the original producers?
For example, Adventures Of Wild Bill Hickok which I believe Guy Madison owned? Or Ramar Of The Jungle which I believe Jon Hall...
David, have you looked into HAPPY, the 1961-62 sitcom starring Ronnie Burns, Yvonne Lime, Lloyd Corrigan and
, DorisPacker . Summer replacement for Perry Como, then picked up as a mid -season replacement. Around 26 episodes , Not a bad show and one that hasn’t been over exposed.
Those anthology series are usually first rate, and one of the reasons people refer to that era as the “golden age of television“.
Neil, was it you who mentioned once, that People’s Choice was owned by McCaddem Productions
( ie.: George/Ronnie Burns estates,) and therefore more easily and...
One of my favorites -I watched it when it first ran in the early sixties and have loved it ever since.
Nat Hiken was a genius-he’s responsible for Bilko too.
What a cast, and great theme song to boot!
I’d buy a Blu-ray set . It’s one of number of series I’d pre-order AND double dip

To follow up what others have stated, the two Abbott And Costello Show releases are about as good as you can get. Every thing from the transfers, bonus material, and even the cover artwork are first class all the way. Thanks 3D Archive, and David at Classic Flix for making these possible

Hi David. Long time since I posted, but I’ve been keeping up with your releases and even buying extras as gifts.
A while back you mentioned that you were intrigued by THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE and was looking into it. Does it appear to be doable?
