Just wondering out loud after reading some of the previous posts - why can't these geniuses at the studios leave well enough alone and release these shows in packaging which not only doesn't damage the discs , but helps preserve them? Aren't we buying these DVD's so we can have them to watch...
I have Kolchak and it is flippers but it plays . I'd replace it with SS or Blu-ray if it ever gets released that way.
I never bought season one of Night Gallery because I thought it was flippers . Now that I know it's SS I'll place an order for it .

While were on the subject of dumb packaging what about those recent TV box sets where all the discs are stored on top of each other on a long spindle . So, if you want watch disc 10 , you have to take the first 9 out first, and so on every time you want to watch a disc .

Yes and season 2 as well.The worst means of storing DVDs. . And that show hasn't been reissued so far in standard packaging. Imagine having to buy it again to obtain packaging that won't ruin the discs ! But I would .
