Kino-Lorber Insider Announcement Thread (Read Guidelines Post #3)

So, now we should be seeing more announcements on other titles soon as part of the new deal. Thanks, Kino.

    Warner Archive Announcements Thread

Yes, it is enjoyable but really more of a murder mystery type film than horror, but it does have some elements of old-fashioned horror in it.

Like maybe the couple I am hoping for. Have to clear those music issues though.

LEAVE IT TO BEAVER: The Complete Series (Coming November 14th from Universal)

At a low price, yes I think it is worth it. I bought my set at a really low sale price. I did notice a bit more better picture and sound on the Blu Rays, maybe not a lot, but some. A friend of mine was interested in my DVD set, which I gave him, but I kept the booklets from the DVD set.

Press Release Warner Archive Collection Announcement: Bathing Beauty (1944) (Blu-ray)

Thrill Of A Romance is good. Always nice to hear the music of Tommy Dorsey. Van Johnson had some chemistry with Esther Williams in that. They appeared in several more films together.

Wondering when they'll start announcing some titles from their new deal with Universal.

International Via Vision Entertainment announces new premium Blu-ray label IMPRINT

I think the audio could be a bit better, however maybe because of the source elements, nothing much can be improved. That is why I am wondering if the second tier of Universal horror titles from the late 30's and early 40's such as these Mummy titles would be any better in 4K than the standard...

International Via Vision Entertainment announces new premium Blu-ray label IMPRINT

Might be worth getting both the A&C and Mummy at least for the extras and terrific artwork on the cases.

Blu-ray Review Harum Scarum Blu-ray Review

I have to agree with Matt on this one. Like many of his later films, this one isn't very good. Starting around the mid 60's, most of his later films just didn't seem quite as enjoyable as many of his earlier ones. Some exceptions like Girl Happy, Spinout and probably Speedway are ones I like...

Filing Films in Your Collection (when titles start with numbers)

It isn't a problem. I go with the original studio that made the film. I only collect older titles from the 1930's through 1960's.

Obscure Classic TV Shows - Post Your Favorites!

Thanks for posting. To me, Debbie Watson is the definitive Tammy. She was very close in age to the age that the Tammy character was supposed to be. Don't get me wrong. I really liked Debbie Reynolds in the part in the first movie and the #1 hit song in 1957, but she was already around her mid...

Filing Films in Your Collection (when titles start with numbers)

I file my titles by studio, years and genre. For instance, on all my titles from Universal, I group the horror/sci-fi titles together in order by year, same with action/western titles, dramas, comedies/musicals together and so on. I do that with all my MGM, Warner Brothers, Paramount, 20th...
