The B1G1 is only for a very small number of titles. It's main purpose is to promote Nashville and Citizen, the new releases. If you want other stuff, the 40% Blu sale is next week

I'm in the San Fernando Valley, so Anaheim is about an hour and a half from me. I've got several stores near me, and if I can get a 20% coupon that I have going on top of B1G1 then that's $14.40 each which is fine with me. It's TOTALLY worth it if you buy at the criterion sales. The extra 10% really pays for itself if you get a couple big sets, and you also get extra 20% and 30% coupons during the sales as well.

Yeah, only the 5/50 would work on top of the 40% because it's a transaction coupon and the 8/40 is an item coupon.

There's another way around this - their computers can do "item" coupons and "transaction" coupons. You can only have one coupon for each item, but you can also have a coupon for each total transaction, which is what the 5/50 is.

My sweet spot is similar, 3 $40 titles for a 5/50. With $50 titles you're far better off using the 8/40 coupon. I didn't realize you were just calculating the membership aspect of your savings and not the entire savings of MSRP

I'm glad that I got mostly done with the Criterions before they started cracking down so bad. At the next sale i'll just be catching up all the gaps between now and then and the 4 DVDs I still need if I don't get them in the meantime.
