Nah, I'm fine, especially after getting the 40% on Zatoichi. I also have the complete set of criterions except for World Cinema, so it's not like I have a lot to run around and try to get anymore.
245 Criterion Blus? Happy to be wrong.I've never had any luck getting coupons to take on B1G1 or B2G1 stuff at B&N, including today, like I get coupons on almost everything else, but at least here in LA its like the one thing you can't get to work
The B1G1 is only for a very small number of titles. It's main purpose is to promote Nashville and Citizen, the new releases. If you want other stuff, the 40% Blu sale is next week
I'm in the San Fernando Valley, so Anaheim is about an hour and a half from me. I've got several stores near me, and if I can get a 20% coupon that I have going on top of B1G1 then that's $14.40 each which is fine with me. Even with NO coupon, the B1G1 deal is only $1.60 more than next weeks 40%...
Just used the 40% on Zatoichi - and the guy next to me was doing the same thing, same printout. My cashier got me rung up and done before his two did, and he'd already been there working on it when I walked into the media department.Total illustration of YMMV. I could have gotten 5/50 to work...
Yeah, the 8 off 40 coupon alone pays for your membership - use it 3 times and that's $24 saved. It's really a no brainer.I think it's douchey to just recycle the trial 2x a year and really douchey to use the 8/40 on regular $39.95 titles. Use it on the $50 and up titles so they don't ban it for...
It's TOTALLY worth it if you buy at the criterion sales. The extra 10% really pays for itself if you get a couple big sets, and you also get extra 20% and 30% coupons during the sales as well.
There's another way around this - their computers can do "item" coupons and "transaction" coupons. You can only have one coupon for each item, but you can also have a coupon for each total transaction, which is what the 5/50 is.
I wouldn't have the balls to throw 5/50 onto the 40%. I'm going to go in with the 40 print out and the 30% in my pocket as a backup. Going after work to get my set.
I think the 30% is for all of BF weekend and the 40% will appear at the last minute and only be good for BF or maybe even a portion of BF. I'm going to ride it out today and see if there's an email about it and if not then take the info with the coupon code in because why not. worst case I'll...
The Mastercard coupon is messing with my plans. I was going to hit the GC promo hard and then pay for a Jan title with the promos, but now to use the 30% coupon I can't pay with giftcards.I got Frances Ha and Tokyo Story today to COMPLETE my collection.I got a GC last week that I still have like...
Almost nobody did. it was 3 discs and quite expensive for a film almost nobody knew at the time, hence the low sales. I think Mark Rance produced it and went way over budget on it as well doing a brand new translation.
No, store in Burbank called Atomic Records. He was doing half off the tagged price.I've had a few people on other forums give me the Criterions they didn't want anymore and I paid for shipping, so if there are any you want to get rid of PM me a list and I can let you know which ones if any I...
Yeah I purposely don't ever buy Eclipse because I can't just have one of them, I'd then have to get them all. When I complete the LD set, then maybe I'll do Eclipse, maybe.I've never had any problem whatsoever ordering things into stores and then using all possible coupons on them. That's how I...
man that would be epic. They knew what they were doing it releasing it that week so they could get some pretty good sales numbers for such a high priced box - the most expensive single spine in the entire collection, taking over from Berlin Alexanderplatz. It's been a good Criterion day for me...
I just sat down and planned out my purchases for this sale and it's not going to be much since I was naughty and got the Bergman/Rossellini set and I Married a Witch at the flash sale
It will cover Zatoichi. On another site is is mentioned the sale runs through Dec 2. This time they have just done the 5 week sale in advance rather than extending it during the sale. All November releases will be covered
My sweet spot is similar, 3 $40 titles for a 5/50. With $50 titles you're far better off using the 8/40 coupon. I didn't realize you were just calculating the membership aspect of your savings and not the entire savings of MSRP
I should do a figuring of my assualt on this sale. Are you calculating your savings of MSRP? Seems like you should have saved a LOT more than that buying all those...
I'm glad that I got mostly done with the Criterions before they started cracking down so bad. At the next sale i'll just be catching up all the gaps between now and then and the 4 DVDs I still need if I don't get them in the meantime.
