Douglas, Before I bought my present speakers, I went through the same exact listening experience that you did. In fact, I had to go out of town to hear some of the brands like Paradigm. I auditioned (using A/B) Mirage, Paradigm, Polk, B&W, Klipsch, Boston.....several others. I had it...
I agree with Chris on www.bluejeanscable.com. I just ordered 45 feet of their best quality and I only paid about 65.00. I listened for a variation in sound quality when comparing it to 20 feet of Monster 300 and could not tell a difference. I am more than happy with the purchase. Just remember...
Alot of people get 12 ga copper wire on the spool from Home Depo or Lowes. IMHO, this is just as good as the spooled Monster wire and a heck of alot cheaper. For in wall wire, I purchased a spool of CL rated 14 ga wire from www.partsexpress.com.
Someone has to pay for these so called "lawsuits" which are so frivolous in nature! Don't we, the consumer, foot the bill eventually as a result of higher insurance costs to the manufacturer?
I own these and IMO the upper frequencies seem a bit more sedated and therefore have less potential for harshness than other previous models I have heard and owned. They have the same horn as the flagship RF-7 floor model's so the detail is amazing. However, as other Klipsch speakers they still...
Tim K. You said it WELL!!! My feelings exactly as far as "thinking less of Bose" goes. Although this suit is ridiculous, its not half as ridiculous as that customers suit against McDonald's regarding the hot coffee!!!!
I cannot say that I am disapointed in Bose because I don't have much respect to start with! Someone else posted in another thread that Bose will probably sue the "Lifestyles" condom manufacturer next.
I agree! Are you wanting the Quints because of the price....size or what? If size is an issue, I would definately go with the new Reference Satellites as Norman said. If size or cost is not an issue, you need to pair that receiver with at least a bookshelf or floor model. The Denon 3803 is...
I have the Cerwin Vega LW-12 and it seems fine for the price paid. However, I had to move it to a corner because it didn't have enough volumn when I had it in the middle of a wall. It can also seem a little boomy in the 60-80 hz range but again......for the price its not bad at all. I will...
Darren, I posed the same exact question in the Tweaking/Cable forum on Sept 30th and according to Bob McElfresh (administrator), he advised to go with one cable rather than splitting it. Please read the link below. http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htfo...hreadid=161553 Good Luck
Ego time again. :) For those of us on the sidelines trying to learn, the "name calling" and "my opinion is better than your opinion" is so distracting. I know I will probably get slammed by the ego people for writing this email....I appreciate everyone's input regardless!! :-)
Have you considered speaker stands? Depending on how large the rear speakers are, they can provide flexibility in placement. How are things in Birmingham? I bought my Klipsch speakers from Tweeters in Hoover before they dropped the entire line. I understand there is a store called Hoopers...
Why don't you email tech support at Klipsch (see www.klipsch.com) and ask this question. That would be straight from the horse's mouth!! They will answer you within 2-3 days.
From what a salesman told me, the new drivers are slightly better. In addition, the driver in the RF-35 is front mounted as opposed to rear mounted in the RF-3II. According to him, this will produce better sound. I listened to both and to me they sound similar. I am using the RB-75's which...
Bob & Chris, Thank you for the advice! Great analysis Bob...now I understand the proper hierarchy for sub cable and your explaination makes sense. I have looked for AR in 36+ lengths and can't find anything so far but I will keep looking. I agree with you about the looks/feel so RG-6 will...
I am moving my sub to the rear of my sofa for corner loading purposes. and I either need to add an additional 18 ft cable to my existing Monster 300 cable (18 ft to 36 ft) or buy a new one. (1) Will I experience degradation in sound if I use a female to female connector and add an additional...

I fully agree w/Jamie. If Home Depo or Lowes doesn't have CL rated wire for in-wall or attic runs, you can visit partsexpress.com. As far as Monster is concerned, someone has to pay for all the advertising......thus the price.
Hang in there Darren! Its customer service that draws me to online companies vs B&M. From what I understand, SVS wrote the book on excellent customer service. Rick
Chris, According to his original message, he did email Adire on Thursday, September 4th. Today is Monday, September 8th. I agree he should have called but if he had not posted a message today how long would he have had to wait in order to get a response from his September 4th email?
Has the charge posted yet on your credit card account? If not, I would cancel the order and look somewhere else. Great customer service and quality products are extremely important especially when one is dealing with online companies. Do they not have a phone # listed?
Thank you for posing this question. You saved me from starting a thread as I need the answer as well!! Assuming a sub is acceptable behind the couch / rear listening position, will it interfere with the 4th, 5th or 6th channel?
What is your budget? If you don't mind spending $1,000, and assuming you like the Klipsch sound, go listen to the new RB-75 bookshelves. I have some on order.
