I have been trying for days to get this @#$$@%! zone 2 working on my deck. I have set the multi zone control to zone 2, and have an analog source, what am i doing wrong? I only have one zone 2 speacker wired.. but that should matter. when i hit on ZONE 2, it's set to source, but zone 1 keeps...
Yea it's a strange setup. it's for over my fireplace, and the area is 'bumped out' so anything bigger would be hanging over the edge. not happy with how it's setup, but it's a smaller room so don't want to go too much bigger anyway
give or take a few hundred. I have 48 inches of wall space (width) to deal with. Looking for best picture quality LCD or Plasma for my bucks. I watch mostly sports (SD) and HDTV and DVDs. I would say my viewing is probably 20/50/30 HD/SD/DVD. Does anyone have any suggestions? Just looking...
I do have the trip sat and all 3 lnbs. I read somewhere last night that if you DONT have the latest firmware, you don't get some channels on the 3rd dish. I am pretty sure that is what is going on here. Now I just have to figure out how to upgrade my firmware.
thanks !
Jim
One thing to add here, I notice it DOESNT have the latest firmware... could that matter?
It's a mitsu 65-819 Not sure about the 819... its my buddies Tv, 2 years old.... HD tuner built in..we're runing hte DTC-100 via the component converter (VHCD300) to the DTV section of the TV. We get...
Greg, nothing like that in the DTC-100 unfortunetly :frowning:
thanks for the reply though. Anyone with this receiver know how to do this? I put on HDnet, everything is fine... I put on discovery HD or ESPN and the screen is black!
thanks guys.
Jim
The subject says it all.. I can see HDnet becuaes it's 1080i, but any channel that comes in (DTV) 720 P.. my mitsu platinum doesn't except it.
The manual says your HDTV tuner (my dtc100) must upconvert or down convert to 1080 or 480p, how do I do this? How do I make my dtc100 do this so I can...
Ok thanks! My TV does except 15 pin (it calls is VGA), and then I have to put that HDmonitor on? I didn't originally have hdtv, so when I hook it up, it sayd INFORMATION NOT AVAILABLE, do I need to call DTV or something? thanks for your help guys! Jim
Looking for some help guys. I just got an RCA DTC-100, how do I watch HDTV!! I have the oval dish but when I tune to 199, I get no information, blank channel. Do I need that VDC300 that converts the 15pin connector to component cables? Can I use the S video and still get HDTV? PLEASE...
The purpose of bi-polar speakers is to diffuse the sound, meaning you can't tell excactly where it is coming from, which is what most people look for in a surround speaker. Some people prefer direct firing, I personally like bi-polar. One thing you are going to hear on this board is try them out...
Elite Custom Audio Video does NOT have them :frowning: The guy I spoke to was incredibly nice, but no 730hd. they have the hdi's on order. I guess I'll keep on looking all over this country! LOL thanks guys :) Jim
Hi jack. any preferences there? I'm looking at Mitsubishi's now.... would you buy a 65611 from last year or a WS-65613 from this year if price was similiar? Platinum from last year vs. gold plus from this year? I was also looking at the Hitachi 65X500, any feedback on this tv? thanks! Jim
The rebate on the 730 is only 1k (per onecall's website). Also, you ONLY get this if you send in your receipt FROM AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, and they are few and far between! I have been researching this TV for sometime... can't find the damn thing anywhere!! :)
I have been going back and forth for months, I finally settled on the Pioneer Elite 730 HD (with the 1k rebate) and now I can NOT find that Tv anywhere!! No store has it, no online retailer has it... it's ridiculous. Anyway... now i'm looking at other options, has to be 65" widescreen, I have...
Thanks Dustin. I never realized they were so cheap these days. I did entertain the idea for a bit... but I'm not sure how I would make it work in my room. the house we're building has a 2 story ceiling in the family room (slanted... I think that is called cathedral)... it's 19x19 more or less...
I can get last years 65" platinum plus for less than I can get this year's gold series. Are the additional features in this year's tvs better than the top of the line (besides diamond) tvs from last year? I have about 3400 dollars to spend... Looking for the BEST 65" RPTV I can get for my...
In some of my research, I've been reading alot of BAD things about toshiba's as well. many many problems I'm reading about... flickering... red gun problems... I'm now back to hitachi or Mitsubishi. I'm so confused! LOL
Mike, that is hilarious! :) Small world I guess. I'm going to check out those pioneers this weekend. I have no idea about tosiba's... I'll start doing some reseach there as well. thanks guys, Jim
Thanks Greg! I will do that this weekend. How are the pioneer's as far as image quality? Is that a better over all TV then mitsu. Most of what I read is that mitsu makes great RPTVs... not sure on what grounds though. thanks guys! Jim
Wife and I are moving into our new home in November and are looking for a 65" widescreen tv as a house warming gift to ourselves! :) I'm looking for the a great picture with good stretch modes (I watch alot of satelite 4:3 material). What do you guys thing? Just looking for your opinions... what...
Not sure where to start. I have heard great things about Mitsu's but not much else. Here is what I'm looking for and maybe you guys can steer me in the right direction. I have about 3500 to spend (a little negotiable... hoping to catch a 2003 tv on a good sale before 2004's come out) I'll use...
