You're not using any form of ARC. ARC stands for Audio Return Channel and is for sending audio from the TV to an audio receiver/surround processor. You're not doing that, so it's not a factor. Just try disconnecting/reconnecting both sides of the hdmi cable between the UHD player and the TV...
Clarify something. Is everything connected to the TV with no receiver? The sound is coming from the TV?
BTW, that cable says it's hdmi 2.0, not 2.1. You don't need to spend $110 on a cable.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of things which can cause it. I’ve never noticed layer change issues since the very early DVD players. I also have an 820.
