    Next Hanna-Barbera set?

No. Godzilla had some episodes released years ago by Classic Media. Fantastic 4 is part of the Hanna-Barbera library but there are rights issues with Marvel.

Underdog and Harveytoons are time sped. I don't know if anything else is. I think some 1950s Popeyes where they only have old video masters right now.

It's still odd though, if he's only in two Stooges shorts in the set. To do that and then include all his solo shorts as extras is just weird. But then, the Ultimate Collection includes all four of Joe De Rita's solo Columbia shorts and only one feature film with him in it.

Not that I've seen so far. Majority are the time-sped and/or edited "Harveytoon Show" versions. But -- this morning they showed "Gag And Baggage" and "Zero The Hero" with 1950s vintage Harvey titles, and the other day a Casper cartoon "Boo Hoo Baby" was shown in black and white (!) with "Matty's...

I'm good with the DVD set, it's okay.

This. Nothing less than all 190 shorts is acceptable, period. No excuses.

I wouldn't necessarily read too much into that. Most of the "Three Stooges Collection" volumes had a cover photo from one of the included shorts, but the picture on Volume 1(1934-36) was from "Swing Parade Of 1946," which isn't even a Columbia film. I think the artwork we've seen is a mock-up...

When "Uncivil Warriors" once aired on "Stooge-A-Palooza" the scene with the baby was edited and Rich Koz explained that was Sony's doing, not the TV station's. They have since shown it uncut.

It's followed by the Sony logo so I am guessing it's Sony doing it? Maybe to de-emphasize the Columbia name for some reason?

The third short in the show is usually introduced as "a very short Three Stooges short" and is exactly that, 5 or 10 minutes or whatever it is. It's a glorified time filler and the complete short usually comes around within a few weeks. For some bizarre reason many shorts on Me-TV have their...

"A Pain In The Pullman" just aired on Me-TV with the end title replaced with one from a 1950s Shemp Stooge short. That would be one to check once this thing is released. (It's just one of many with changed end titles, but I haven't made a list of them.)

They are complete on DVD, they ought to be complete on Blu-Ray. No excuse.

If shorts were indeed left off for censorship reasons, then this set deserves to tank. Let's send a message, vote with your wallet.

The Bugs Bunny Show on DVD and Blu-ray

https://kevinmccorrytv.ca/index.html A valuable resource, although kind of a chore to get through the flowery prose. It's hard to keep it straight -- WGN in Chicago had both the syndicated Bugs Bunny & Friends and Porky Pig & Friends packages and showed them together -- but there may be a few...

On seeing the list, my guess is this probably started out as a complete set, then certain shorts were nixed -- then it was decided to just make it an even 100 to call attention away from the censorship and make it look like a "best of."

Regarding "Three Stooges Scrapbook" -- which has never been released on home video -- it was produced as a half-hour television pilot in color. After the pilot didn't sell, some footage was used in "The Three Stooges In Orbit" (in black and white) and then it was cut into two separate shorts...

What I would have done is: (1) Essentially release the Ultimate Collection set on Blu-Ray minus the two feature films (2) Release a comprehensive set of the feature films all in one set: Time Out For Rhythm Rockin' In The Rockies Have Rocket -- Will Travel Stop! Look! And Laugh! Meet Hercules...

I should do some research and see which ones they are. If 1944 or earlier, they should have Columbia Pictures name in the end titles. They stopped that in 1945. After that it just has "the end" with a theater mask. If it's 1944 or earlier with a theater mask in the end titles, it's been changed.

So has anyone with any Sony contacts reached out to them for clarification or more detailed info? It would be great if the 100 shorts thing was simply a typo. I am assuming for now that the mention of "cartoons" probably refers to the few Columbia theatrical cartoons (featuring caricatures of...

One other thing worth mentioning -- though I don't know if it will affect this set (I certainly hope not): In the last couple of years many of the shorts shown on Me-TV (not all of them, thank goodness, at least not yet) have tampering done to the end titles. Mostly on 1930s shorts, but...

As far as the "over 20" thing, a couple Andy Clyde shorts featuring Shemp were left off the Ultimate Collection and in the years since it was discovered that the two shorts in question are lost or at least not in Sony's holdings. I don't know if that has anything to do with the non-specific...

Also -- if you're not releasing all 190 shorts, why include the solo shorts? The solo shorts are an appendix to the COMPLETE set. It makes no sense. Also, Stop! Look! And Laugh! should be there. Bravo on Three Stooges Scrapbook (although they don't say if it's the whole thing or one or both of...

    Next Hanna-Barbera set?

I never saw it on the Disney Channel or Cartoon Network. To the best of my recollection, Boomerang ran the original "Saturday Superstar Movie" version. I don't recall about the closing H-B logo and its soundtrack. It also ran on the 1988 syndicated Yogi Bear Show in two parts.

    Next Hanna-Barbera set?

It wasn't even that as I recall -- the first half was the "Yogi's Gang" episode version, the second half was the "Saturday Superstar Movie" version. As I recall, it's a long time since I watched it. The two part version would have been accurate for the series set, as they were the last two...

    Next Hanna-Barbera set?

What I recall is they had planned to do Touche Turtle after they had released Wally Gator and Lippy The Lion, but it's the same old story -- they only had 16mm film prints for the cartoons and they didn't have any negatives, so the quality wasn't deemed good enough. Now, that's all well and...
