how do I hook up two passive subwoofers?

I have a dedicated 2 channel integrated amp (no amp out). I want to hook up 2 passive subwoofers, one for each speaker but am unsure of the best way to wire them. As I see it, I have 2 choices: a) run a shotgun configuration straight off the amp with 1 cable going to the speakers and 1 to...

    Resiliant Channel

I know its been beat to death already but just some clarification. Is resiliant channel used for acoustics or sound proofing? Because if its not improving the acoustics in my room, I won't bother with it, even though i bought about 60ft or so at a hardware store close out for about $20. I...

Walls going up in new HT tomorrow, need a quick answer

This weekend I'm going to put up the last wall of my listening room, which is an interior wall. I came on here to confirm my idea of doing a staggered studded wall and started to read about R/C and a question came to mind from the responses above. Because the wall "floats and has some movement...

Best options for used 2-ch amp $500 or less?

You've gotten a lot of reccomendations, and I'm going to take a leap of faith here and suggest something totally different. IMO the only true way to listen to 2 channel stereo is with tube amplfiers, in particular SET amps if your speakers are efficent enough. All of the amps that have been...

Can you connect a turntable to a Marantz 6200?

I'd like to get into records and before I go out and invest some $$$ on a 2 channel integrated, I'd like to get a turntable and run it through my 6200, is it possible?

QED Silver Anniversary or Ecosse 4.2

I'm checking there as what a different brred of people between the audio"philes" and the HT'ers. I sense an undercurrent of hostily. I shouldn't of asked for users experiences here.

QED Silver Anniversary or Ecosse 4.2

All I'm really looking for is some opinions about Ecosse 4.2 and QED Silver Anniversary speaker cable. Has anyone used them in their system?

QED Silver Anniversary or Ecosse 4.2

Honestly...I do. And besides, I don't think $56CDN for a digital coaxial is very expensive. The "cheapy" AQ cable I presently have was $35.

QED Silver Anniversary or Ecosse 4.2

I'm upgrading my 3 front speaker cables and am torn between QED Silver Anniversary bi-wire, and Ecosse C4.2 Anyone have any experience with these? My system is a Marantz 6200 and totem Dreamcatchers. I'm also upgrading my digital coaxial to RhinoCables Premium...woohoo!

Do you listen your speakers with grill on/off?[not a poll]

I have Totem speakers and Vince the owner doesn't believe in grills (but does include them). The problem is the have nothing to clip onto to and you must use velcro and the keep falling off. I only use my grill on the sub, too close to the ground for my little guy to put his foot through it!

    Satellite speaker recommendations?

The Totems are fantastic! Great review of them in Home Theater this month.

    Give your opinion!

I have the dreamcatcher system and think its incredible. I've never heard them paired up with a Rotel but I'm sure it would sound fantastic. Totem speakers are designed to be used with good power. They can be very revealing if paired up with crappy components. My only concern would be about...

0degree and 180degree switch on sub??

Thanks, it all seemed pretty confusing to me....What happens if your sub has a frequency dial and a toggle switch?

0degree and 180degree switch on sub??

What does it do to the sound? I've switched it back and forth and with my untrained ears can't hear a difference.
