Press Release BVHE Press Release: 100 Years! 100 animated titles on Blu-ray (Blu-ray)

Won't comment about SOTS, but interesting that VICTORY THROUGH AIR POWER is not included, and that WAS an animated feature.

When are the Vintage Technicolor Movies Going To Be Released ?

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I know Robert Harris will do it kindly) but, since a lot of early talkies are coming out of copyright over the next few years, will that ease getting some of these films onto home video? Say, in 2026, when FOLLOW THRU would become PD, could a company like Kino...

    UHD Review Hugo 4K+3D Review

IMHO, the finest use of 3D ever, and with the one niggling exception of a scene where the film goes through the projector the wrong way, the most accurate depiction of film history, but what do you expect from Scorsese? This film touched me so much I was in tears when I got to my car.

Warner Bros Archive Wish List 2022 and Beyond!!

Would love to see the following on Blu-Ray: the rest of the Thames Silents (THE CROWD, THE WIND, THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE, THE STUDENT PRINCE AT OLD HEIDELBURG, GREED [along with the Rick Schmidlin reconstruction]), KING'S ROW (with ALL the character teasers ported over from the...

Is vertical video viewed on your phone the future of cinema? is that difficult to turn your phone 90 degrees so that you are viewing a wide image? I see vertical videos either on my phone or on my TV and my first reaction is-why is this being recorded with so much of the screen unused? Since I do not think there are any phones out there that are...

Not having been on this forum for awhile, what is up with RAINTREE COUNTY and AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS? And as far as DEVIL AND DAN'L WEBSTER and Criterion having it, I will be patient.

    Your thoughts on Kino-Lorber Blu-rays

How I would love for Kino to get the rights from Universal for MODERN LOVE, FOLLOW THRU, LAUGHTER, THE ROYAL FAMILY OF BROADWAY, THE FOUR FEATHERS (1929) and LOVE ON TOAST. From Paramount: THE MIRACLE OF MORGAN'S CREEK.

What Was The First Theatrical Film You Saw?

First film I saw in a "hardtop" was SON OF FLUBBER, and I think the first one I saw at the drive-in was THE MUSIC MAN. To show you how naive I was-we had the OCR of "The Music Man" which I loved to play and I thought what they would do is show the record label spinning while the music played...

Warner Bros Archive Wish List 2022 and Beyond!!

This is what I would wish for: KING'S ROW (with all the character teaser trailers as bonus material, as in the old laserdisc), GUNGA DIN, RAINTREE COUNTY, the Rick Schmidlin restoration of GREED, CAPTAIN BLOOD, THE ADVENTURES OF DON JUAN, ALL THIS AND HEAVEN, TOO, THE CROWD, THE WIND, THE FOUR...

Press Release WHV 100th Anniversary Sets Volumes 1-4 (Blu-ray) Available for Preorder

If there was a way to just get the swag separately I would do so-already have about 90% of these titles already (no, not SUPERGIRL-sheesh!).

    Deepdiscount sales

They advertise on eBay and I just picked up the white vinyl edition of der Bingle's "Merry Christmas" LP which is usually going for $50+ on that site, and I got it for less than $20 from DeepDiscount. I am satisfied with them.

A Few Words About A few words about...™ Laurel & Hardy: The Definitive Restorations - in Blu-ray

The version that Legend put out on Blu-Ray uses the title MARCH OF THE WOODEN SOLDIERS but as I recall it says BABES IN TOYLAND on the main title of the print. The Image DVDs of the silent Laurel & Hardy shorts that came out years ago have Feiner's name as the copyright holder and include the...

A Few Words About A few words about...™ Laurel & Hardy: The Definitive Restorations - in Blu-ray

At this time, Richard Feiner (or whomever is in charge there) controls the rights to almost all the Roach silents (with the exception of BATTLE OF THE CENTURY, which is owned by Lobster Films) and the early talkies to the end of '29 with the exception of BERTH MARKS. Hallmark/RHI/Paramount...

A Few Words About A few words about...™ Laurel & Hardy: The Definitive Restorations - in Blu-ray

Well, I am not cancelling my pre-order, but I have never been steered wrong by RAH's reviews in the past, so I will reserve judgment until my set arrives. I do know that Randy and Richard Bann and the whole team have put in a ton of sweat labor on this, so before I put it in the player I will...

Warner Archive: The Blue Knight (1973) on Blu-ray

I remember Wambaugh being more pleased with George Kennedy's depiction of Bumper in the TV series than Holden's, saying that Kennedy was exactly how he described the character and that Holden was "too handsome" to be Bumper. Wambaugh liked Holden's performance, though.
