I've pretty much hated every John Woo movie I've ever seen, but I thought this short was very entertaining. If you stretched it to 100 minutes, I'd probably feel different. I tried to get rid of the quicktime "skin" using a program called Full Screen Mov viewer. It worked on the last batch...
(It would have been cool if she were crushed by the falling debris.) The product placement in Spider-Man was very blatant. The movie seemed like one long commercial for Dr. Pepper, Cingular and Oscorp.
I have a Toshiba 1600, and the MP&tHG disc I bought in March does not exhibit the intermittant subtitle problem.
I think one of the burnt-in "Swedish" subtitles from the opening credits is missing in the new version. This may be what is confusing you.
No offense intended, but this sounds like something Heywood Floyd might say. The "advanced alien race" interpretation is logically sound. But it is far from the only one possible. Viewers should not limit themselves to a solely scientific understanding of the film, which is a work of art...

You people are all a bunch of SPACE MONKEYS :). I am almost sickened to see you argue over which of the seven victims deserved to die. The point of the film is that none of them, no matter what they did, deserves the twisted fate that John Doe orchestrated for them. Anyone who thinks that Doe's...
I have no problem with the ending of The Searchers. But it is far from "perfect". Natalie Wood was just wrong for the part she played; it was as if the tornado had yanked Dorothy out of the Wizard of Oz (perfect teeth, comically excessive makeup) and dropped her in the Old West. And everytime...
This was much tougher than I thought:
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Seven Samurai: CC
Ultimate Toy Box
Had to leave a lot of great movies behind in order to take the best overall DVD packages.
The doctor's son was clearly not conceived naturally. His genetic manipulation must have been slightly botched somewhere along the line (ie he was "not all that THEY promised"). Later testing probably revealed this.
