General Discussion Streaming Frustrations, Part 2

MGM+. Took 7-day free trial of MGM+ on Prime so I could watch "The Beekeeper" (If we employed people like this, how did 9/11 happen?). Anyway, clicked around and found both "Ben-Hur" and "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" in mono sound without ovetures. Very didappointing.

Many people compare "Saltburn" to "The Talented Mr. Riply". Actually it's much closer to 'Something for Everyone" with Michael York and Angela Lansbury.

HDR10+ from TV, but not from Apple TV or Roku

I have streaming apps direct on my 2021 Android TCL flat screen. I prefer to use my Apple TV 4K (most recent edition) to watch streaming. But, I'm frustrated that I only get HDT10+ when I watch things through the apps direct on the TV. The same material only comes through in HDR10 when I use the...

Apple TV+ iTunes 4K Upgrades Thread

I know this title is not in 4K. But, it's curious so many titles are updated when new discs are released. But, not every title. While my iTunes "Singing in the Rain" has updated to 4K. My iTunes "Ziegfeld Follies" remains just HD, without the stereo sound, overture and exit music that has been...

    Warner Archive Announcements Thread

It is a celebration of 100 years of movies MADE BY WARNER BROS. Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz were not made by Warner Bros. Something the 18-year-old intern who edited the tribute to Warners at the Oscars Sunday night didn't know.

The Flying Nun: Any News of a Complete Series Set?

I first heard of the show the summer of '67 from a promo announcing Sally Field would appear later that night on The Joey Bishop Show to promote her new ABC series "The Flying Nun," which I assumed was a drama about a missionary who was also a pilot. I was 12.

When will Apple give us a Blu-ray of last year's Oscar-winning CODA?

"Coda" is a mediocre little film better suited for the Lifetime channel. Another example of an Oscar bought by a PR campaign. I do subscribe to 10 streaming services for less than half the price of basic cable. Watch local channels with an antenna. No longer see the point in buying discs to...
