I see a lot of people complaining about the dogs driving the planes. I think it was just meant as a joke from the writer. You know: "dogfight" !

I also though Indiana Jones was entertaining, and upon multiple viewing, some of the irritants disappears (like the three fall or the groundhogs). I still can't get over Tarzan-Shia thought. I really liked the sci-fi approach.

    MOST IMMERSIVE MOVIE SCENES....

The most immersive scene ever done is the Omaha Beach invasion in Saving Private Ryan. I would also add the incredible one-shot action scene at the end of Children of Men.

That exactly what I thought would happen. I expected that big black prisonner to push button and blow the prisonner's boat. Obviously, I was really surprised when he threw the detonator away. It's one of the strenght of the movie; you really don't know what's gonna happen.

For the unicorn, it obviously means that Deckard could be a replicant, but it's not sure! (unless Ridley Scott said he was sometimes ago) For the Memento part, I don't know what it means!

Time to Thrown Down! 2007 Top Ten Lists

Finally caught up a bit of the late year releases. 1- ZODIAC Whoah, I didn't expect that movie to be that good. I was totally compelled by the investigation and the detail in the movie. Very well made. Fincher does it again. In 1995, Se7en was my movie of the year. 2- The Bourne...

    From Pixar in 2007: Ratatouille

I also saw the movie yesterday. It is my third best Pixar movie after The Incredibles and Toy Story II. I give 4/5 for now, but get the feeling this could go up. One thing certain, it is the best movie of the year so far. The images were spectacular, well-written and really entertaining. 4/5

Universal, we might have a problem - Children of Men (pls. ignore posts before #22)

The problem is not Amazon related. I bought mine at Best Buy and am having problems playing it in my 360 add-on. The disk is unreadable unless I insert/eject the disk 3 or 4 times. When the disk is succesdully read, though, I don't have any problems afterwards!

Bridge To Terabithia (merged) - Discussion

I agree. This actress has the most charisma I've seen in a long time. She has a Dakota Fanning's vibe, without the freakiness. Just look at her smile when she's running against the boys. There's an absolute sense of joy conveyed there that's almost contagious.

The movie I'm most psyched about is by far LOST IN TRANSLATION. I'm not sure I would upgraded from SD for the others though.

Best trick/twist ending in a movie? (spoilers, of course!)

I'll add one of the few comedies with a twist ending: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels The crooks were actually been played all along by their victim.

Best trick/twist ending in a movie? (spoilers, of course!)

I've got another one: Wild things Cant remember what the twist was, except that it was AFTER the end credits. I think Mortal Thoughts had a good ending (that movie will Bruce Willis and Demi Moore)

Best trick/twist ending in a movie? (spoilers, of course!)

What was the twist of the "..red" movie with Tom Berenger? You might talking about "Betrayed", though I'm not sure there was a twist in it.

Let's also add The Matrix and Dark City both of which has a similar twist.

Best trick/twist ending in a movie? (spoilers, of course!)

Yes it was Shattered. I loved that twist! The character Tom Berenger is looking for is none other than himself. Other movies that comes up: Mulholland Drive The whole character switch. Pan's Labyrinth Not really a twist, but Ofelia's death was quite a powerful way to end the movie...

Best trick/twist ending in a movie? (spoilers, of course!)

The best twist ending ever are obviously these two as far as I'm concerned: Psycho (Mom related) The Empire Strikes Back (Dad related) In the underrated department, I'd like to add The Machinist where you really understand the psychology/breakdown of the main character.
